It’s pretty common for the Sox to organically come up with something after the season begins. Two years ago, they wore the BAA 5k medal - after Cora ran the event over Boston Marathon weekend. Pretty sure the laundry cart ride started mid-season, too.

There is an unfair layer of data in this stuff where the NFL thinks they can just expand and grow and add more, and it will work because we are addicted to this thing and consume all of it as much as we can. But I don't think MOST fans want more of it. And we don't want it all over the world. And we don't want it on Thursday nights. My 2 cents.

Am I the only person who hates the thought of play-in games or series? You play a long ass 82(84 starting next year) game season. That should be enough to determine who gets in or not. If you’re not in a playoff spot by the end of game 82, sorry, you weren’t good enough.

@wyshynski Play in games are the dumbest thing in sports. Either expand the teams in the playoffs or don’t. The in between is nonsense. Play 82/84/162 games to “make” the playoffs and then you’re out in 1 game? It’s the equivalent of the NFL Wild Cards playing 1Q to determine who advances.
