Before January, I had no relation or association to Iran or the great Iranian people, but ever since I saw your people’s bravery on January 8th, I have done everything I can to stand with you and your people - posting online, attending every Lion and Sun protest in Stockholm, convincing friends to attend protests and even traveling all the way to Munich to stand with you and your people during the Global Day of Action. Why? Because even though the leftist media might not be paying attention to the Iranian people’s oppression and fight for freedom, the rest of us - especially those on the right wing - are. And we stand in awe of your people’s courage. Never before in my life have I witnessed such bravery as I did when millions of Iranians from every walk of life took to the streets of every province of your country to demand their freedom, knowing they’d be shot for doing so. Seeing Hamid Mahdavi carrying his wounded compatriots to safety and knowing that he gave his life to do so will forever be a source of great inspiration for me. Watching Mohammad Jabari valorously sacrificing his life holding a door to stop the IRGC from killing his countrymen while they escaped will forever be etched in my mind. And that has ignited a fire in me and many others, inspiring me to rise up and stand for the freedom of others in the fight against Islamism. That is the impact the sacrifices of your brave compatriots have left upon this world. Their heroism will echo through eternity, lighting the fires of hope for those struggling against this vile ideology. This shouldn’t be a left vs right issue. This is world history, what is happening right now. This is the greatest moment for positive change in the world since the fall of the Berlin wall, perhaps even since the of the Third Reich. This is an opportunity to liberate 90 million people from religious tyranny and change the Middle East for the better for decades to come. @NEEDcreations "What happened to nostr?" Network effect ... or lack thereof. I love the concept of nostr, but it's really difficult to compete with the reach of platforms like X. If nothing else it shows how miraculous bitcoin's adoption has been.

What happened to nostr? It's a completely dead void now. And I really pushed getting more active this time too. Posted every day for a few weeks, replied to other accounts, zapped others. But I barely got zapped. I received no replies or shares, barely any likes or really any engagement at all. Horrible experience really. I think most of the early adopters are back on X now anyway. I have no idea how those devs still think it will become mainstream one day 😅

@jimmysong How hard is it to just mitigate to QC resistant adresses? Any Bitcoiner with some level of brain activity will send their coins to the new adress. Why are everyone complicating this? Satoshi aint coming back for his legacy coins. If they get back in to circulation, so be it.

BIP361 is a complete non-starter for me, but I would still like to see an attempt by its supporters to put it on the Bitcoin network as either a soft fork or a hard fork. Not because I want to get a "fork dividend," but because we need to see how these things play out.

Cypherpunk Jameson Lopp and other Bitcoin developers propose BIP-361 to freeze quantum vulnerable wallets. This could lock dormant BTC like Satoshi Nakamoto’s 1.1M coins, now worth $74B, before quantum computers can steal them.

Tror ni svenskar, och andra i västvärlden har lite svårt att förstå att den nya generationen iranier har genomskådat alla år av lögner och propaganda som drabbade Shahen. De tror inte på historier om hur björnar våldtog fångar (islamister och islamo-marxister) eller hur deras kroppar styckades för att laga maträtter i fängelset, eller hur man hängde fångarna från deras könsorgan i takfläktar och snurrade dem runt de 24 timmar. De förstår propagandan som drabbade Iran och Kungen att de idag ropar ”länge leve Shahen” trots att det är ett en mening som medför sig dödsstraff i Iran. De tatuerar in Shahens signatur på sina armar och ben i Iran trots att det kan medföra risk för livet och fängelse i bästa fall. Västvärlden har ännu inte satt sig in vad som egentligen hände Iran och man tror fortfarande shahen var nån elak figur. Tror ni på allvar att miljontals iranier i diasporan, samt miljontals iranier i Iran hade gått ut och riskerat sina liv när de samtidigt ropar ”död åt diktatorn” och i samma veva ”Länge leve Shahen”, ifall de var på annat vis än det jag beskrev?
