Between an electrical storm, region-wide blackout and a 7 hour road closure...last night's drive was literally Oregon Trail.

@jessalanfields @texasgirl181 @KHOU I don’t understand why they aren’t blocking off the roads and having people turn around to exit. Why isn’t this massive road closure being reported anywhere and why aren’t the police there moving traffic??

@KHOU Can you help me? We have been stuck on i45 northbound at mile marker 146 since 7:00. Is there anyone behind us trying to reverse traffic or allow cars to crossover? Any help know what’s behind us would be greatly appreciated!
