🧵 CHART THREAD: Copper just confirmed a major breakout. Everyone including @chamath is paying attention. Where do we go from here? Monthly close above $6.28/lb targets $8+ in 4-6 months. That's 32% upside in the commodity. But the real alpha is in the miners. Here's the setup: 📊

2 of 2 China faces its own constraints: US chip export controls chief among them yet the response has been pragmatic optimization, massive domestic investment, and an open-source strategy that courts global developers. A researcher in Singapore, a startup in Brazil, or a tinkerer in rural India can download a powerful Chinese model, run it locally or on affordable cloud instances, and build without ever being asked for a passport scan. Beijing’s model has its own authoritarian elements, of course. Domestic users face censorship aligned with state priorities. But for the rest of the world, the Chinese ecosystem offers something the current US trajectory increasingly does not: low-friction access to frontier-level tools. That asymmetry matters. In technology races, adoption velocity often beats raw lab performance. Recent data from the Stanford AI Index and global usage metrics tell the story. China has essentially erased America’s early lead in open-source AI deployment. The numbers on model downloads, fine-tuned applications, and real-world integrations are no longer a US-dominated leaderboard. The Inevitable Outcome Innovation has always rewarded openness and low barriers. The internet itself exploded because anyone with a modem could participate. The early mobile app boom happened because Apple and Google made distribution relatively frictionless. AI will follow the same pattern. The winners will be the platforms that let millions of developers and users experiment without jumping through identity hoops. If US companies continue prioritizing regulatory theater over usability, they will become the “premium,” expensive, censored, and heavily monitored option, the choice for enterprises that need to check compliance boxes, not the choice for the next wave of breakthroughs. Talent will drift. Capital will follow performance. Global mindshare will shift. This isn’t about conspiracy. It’s market dynamics. When one side demands your government ID before letting you generate an image and the other side simply hands you a powerful model, the outcome is not mysterious. The strategic stakes could not be higher. Artificial intelligence is poised to reshape every sector of the economy, national security, and scientific discovery. Ceding the lead means ceding the future. So here is the blunt advice for American policymakers, investors, and AI executives who still believe the United States should remain the center of this revolution: reverse course. Prioritize capability, openness, and user trust over performative safety measures. Deregulate where possible. Let builders build. Otherwise, the rest of us might as well start practicing our tones: Nǐ hǎo, wǒ xiǎng yòng zuì hǎo de AI móxíng. (“Hello, I’d like to use the best AI model.”) And when the next breakthrough comes from a lab in Shanghai or Beijing instead of San Francisco or Austin, we can turn off the lights on the era of American AI supremacy. It won’t be because China outsmarted us. It will be because we tied our own hands.

If US AI Companies Keep Demanding Your Papers, Learn Mandarin and Turn Off the Lights - Nǐ hǎo, wǒ xiǎng yòng zuì hǎo de AI móxíng - OpenAI just lost one of my clients. A very large non-tech company that tried to use Image 2 for a project and absolutely will not submit to the identity requirements. Nor will their legal department allow anyone to “upload a state issued ID” FOR ANY SERVICE. They have severed ties and will use on my recommendation: Grok Imagine and yes Image 2 is currently slightly better but they don’t care. They also will prefer open source models going forward. They have seen the light. This latest move from OpenAI isn’t subtle. To unlock advanced image generation with their new GPT-Image models and certain API tiers users must now upload a government-issued ID, snap a selfie, and hand over biometric data to Persona, a third-party identity verification firm. The stated goal: “safety,” age-gating, and preventing misuse. The reality, as countless users are discovering, is friction, failed verifications, stored personal data, and the unmistakable scent of surveillance theater. This isn’t an isolated policy tweak. It’s the latest data point on a clear trajectory: American AI giants are choosing centralized control, heavy compliance, and real-world identity linking over raw capability and open access. If the industry stays on this path, the consequences are predictable. The United States will surrender its lead in artificial intelligence to China. WHO ironically lead with free and open source unrestricted AI models. At that point, the practical advice for anyone serious about the technology will be simple: start learning Mandarin, and prepare to turn off the lights on American dominance if this stupid mentally does not change. The Surveillance Turn in American AI OpenAI’s Persona requirement is being framed as responsible stewardship. In practice, it erects a barrier that punishes exactly the kind of experimentation that made AI exciting in the first place. Hobbyists, independent developers, researchers, and privacy-conscious creators now face a choice: surrender personal documents to a for-profit verifier or stick to weaker, older models. Or simply reach for free Chinese open source platforms. Fail the selfie scan because of lighting, glasses, or a bad angle? Too bad try again tomorrow or give up. This fits a larger pattern. Regulatory pressure from the EU AI Act, looming liability bills, and corporate risk-aversion is pushing every major lab toward the same playbook: gate advanced features behind KYC (Know Your Customer), watermark outputs, embed mandatory refusals, and partner with identity brokers. The result is an ecosystem that feels less like a frontier and more like a DMV with better graphics. Users notice. Backlash has been swift and loud. The very people who drove adoption — the tinkerers, the artists, the builders — are migrating. Some retreat to fully local open-source models. Others simply look abroad. The irony is brutal: in the name of “safety,” American companies are making their products less usable, less private, and less attractive than the alternatives. China’s Open AI Blitz While US labs add more forms to fill out, Chinese developers are shipping. By 2026, the performance gap that once looked insurmountable has narrowed dramatically. Models from labs like DeepSeek and Alibaba’s Qwen series are not just competitive — in many benchmarks and real-world applications they are setting the pace. Open-weight releases dominate Hugging Face download charts. Efficiency improvements are coming faster because the focus is on capability, iteration speed, and accessibility rather than compliance paperwork. 1 of 2

It is time for Grandpa YouTube to retired. I would build a better version of YouTube here for free here on X just to preserve content like this that YouTube can’t handle: It’s called science from an actual scientist. X is showing this dangerous video. I would have an automatic AI powered system to migrate video from YouTube to X. I would beat the monetization payout at YouTube and build a state of the art video experience on X. I would make it a place where 30 second TikTok shorts that have enamored YouTube has no place on X because it deserves no place in your brain. Retired Grandpa will still be with us but it is time to move forward with a new generation of creators and thinkers.

YouTube will YouTube (erase) all content it can’t deal with. Seems they can’t handle the Riemann hypothesis truth. So to the average “like and subscribe” YouTuber the world is fine. Until you deal with math problems…

R.I.P Instagram’s Algorithm. Claude 4.6 crushed it. Most brands are still trying to "beat" the Algorithm with: Random influencer sponsorships Random posts Generic testimonial videos Recycled hooks Content with no system behind it That’s why they stay stuck. Low reach. Low engagement. Zero inbound. Zero calls. Because they treat Instagram and TikTok’s explore page strictly like a content platform. It’s not. It’s a distribution and acquisition engine. And Claude 4.6 helps you with that. Not ONLY as a writing tool. As a growth operating system. When you use it properly, everything changes. In the last 30 days this Claude-powered system generated: $140k revenue for a client Consistent growth Predictable content performance Without lost time. Without photoshoots. Without wasted samples. Just explore page hacking. Here’s what the Claude system actually does: • Optimises your content for views and conversions • Builds a high-authority content strategy for your niche • Generates scroll-stopping hooks based on proven frameworks • Creates posts that move people from attention to action • Designs content that pulls leads automatically • Analyses competitors’ best-performing posts in seconds • Turns engagement into conversations that convert into sales No more guessing what to post. No more staring at a blank page. No more content that gets likes but no pipeline. This isn’t “AI writes posts" alone. It's your AI acquisition bestie. This can be your viral acquisition infrastructure. Positioning. Content architecture. Hook engineering. Outbound automation. Pipeline generation. Instead of: Post → Hope → Wait You get: Position → Publish → Engage → Convert → Scale While everyone else chases the algorithm… You build a system that works with it. This System is tailored to: - You - Your Niche - Your ICP Without sounding the same over and over again. Without people thinking you are using AI. Just leverage. I documented the exact Claude 4.6 setup behind this. Inside: • The prompts used to generate high-performing content • The system behind viral hooks and authority posts • The structure that turns content into ICP Customers • The DM framework that converts conversations into calls If you want the system: 1. Connect with me 2. Comment “ALGO” I’ll send the walkthrough to your DMs. In 2026, tiktok shop and Instagram won’t reward creators. It will reward operators with systems.

Google launched a tool that lets you speak into it and spits out production-ready creative. It's game changing. It's called Stitch. And my team over the last 24 hours pulled everything we could out of our inside man from Google. Then built it all into a 30+ page PDF your creative team can run with tomorrow morning. Here's what changes Monday: Speak into the tool. Get a production-ready prototype in minutes. Lock any client's brand to a single file. The AI never goes off-brand again. Update designs on a live client call while they watch. Export working code, Figma files, and ad assets in one click. Creative output triples. Revision cycles disappear. Your team starts delivering work that used to take days — before lunch. We put everything into a PDF you can upload to any LLM and have it train your entire creative team in an afternoon. 50+ prompts. Every framework. 5 starter projects. Zero fluff. The agencies that roll this out first are going to be untouchable. Comment STITCH and I'll send you the PDF.

Wispr Flow + Claude + n8n = AI Content Machine (this system monitors Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, X for viral content 24/7) → No manual scrolling → No $12K agency research fees → No guessing what content works Btw Wispr is giving away a Porsche if you can win the challenge... Anyway, This system is perfect for brands tired of content guesswork. Here's how it works: → Platform monitoring engine: n8n webhooks hit social APIs every 6 hours → scrapes top posts by engagement → filters by your target keywords/accounts → Comment analysis system: Extracts top 50 comments per post → sends to Claude → identifies pain points, desires, objections in structured JSON → Psychological pattern mapping: Claude analyzes hook formulas + emotional triggers → maps patterns across posts → identifies what makes people share/engage → Content strategy generator: Takes extracted patterns → generates platform-specific content frameworks → outputs ready-to-use templates with examples → Trend detection loop: Runs daily comparison → flags new patterns → updates your content playbook automatically Built with competitive intelligence architecture. Runs 24/7 without manual work. 10-minute setup. Enterprise-grade insights. (Setup time: 3 hours. I spoke every Claude prompt and n8n config instead of typing. That's how you iterate fast.) Want the complete system blueprint? Like + comment "MACHINE" + repost, and I'll DM it to you. (must be following)

claude code just made every automation agency look like a joke. i described an outreach system in plain english. it planned the architecture, asked me clarifying questions, then built the entire thing autonomously. 14 minutes. zero code. self-healing workflows. here's what happened: i said "build me an outreach system that scrapes leads from apollo, researches them, sends personalized emails from my gmail, and hits them on linkedin" claude code: → read my .md file (the secret sauce) → asked what type of clients i'm targeting → asked how i want linkedin handled → designed the full system architecture → built n8n workflows for the linear tasks → created agentic flows for the complex stuff → connected everything to airtable crm i clicked "yes, allow" a few times. that's it. that's the whole process. the .md file is what makes this work. it tells claude how to think about automations - when to use linear workflows vs agentic flows, how to structure them, how to make them self-healing. without it, claude guesses. with it, claude builds like a $15K consultant. comment "CLAUDE" and i'll send you the .md file that makes this possible. full video breakdown in the comments.

After building 300+ YouTube channels that generated $10M+ in revenue... I developed a system that gets you leads from YouTube without recording a single video. And you can try it for free. Listen up, people don't talk about this when it comes to YouTube for business: Consistency matters more than you realize. But consistency is impossible when each video takes 10 hours to produce. I've been solving this problem for clients for years. Scripting, strategy, editing - we handle it all. But there's still one bottleneck: they have to record. And most business owners hate being on camera multiple times a month. So I built AutoYT to remove that final barrier: → Auto-researches topics your audience actually wants → Writes full scripts (not the generic garbage ChatGPT spits out) → Creates AI avatars with voice cloning that looks human → Edits with B-roll, slides, and proper scene transitions → Publishes everything on your schedule Before AutoYT: Research (2h) + Scripting (3h) + Recording (1h) + Editing (4h) = 10 hours per video. With AutoYT: Click one button. Get a professional video. Zero recording. Zero stress. Every business will need consistent YouTube content by 2026. The ones that figure out automation first will dominate their niche. I'm offering free test access to AutoYT. Want in? Connect/Follow Comment "LEADS" I'll DM the link. PS - Best for B2B companies, consultants, and coaches who sell expertise but don't want to be on camera every week.
