Today, I joined my colleagues in the Maine delegation – @SenAngusKing, @chelliepingree, and @RepGolden – in calling for a comprehensive, transparent, and expedited investigation into the fatal shooting involving ICE personnel in Biddeford. We are also asking DHS to detail the extent to which it will collaborate with state and local agencies.

Susan Collins who is “very concerned” for the 100th time, was the deciding vote to give the ICE Gestapo another $70 billion. 🤬 She thought ICE learned a ‘pretty big lesson’ after the murders of Renee Good & Alex Pretti. She has blood on her hands and needs to resign immediately.

I couldn't understand why the FBI was investigating Lindsey Graham's death—in the absence of any suspicious toxicology report in the autopsy—until I realized it gave Trump and his lawyer Kash Patel an excuse to enter Graham's house and remove potentially incriminating documents

When you MAGA and MAHA D-fucks get the runs from Cyclospora that is rapidly spreading across the country, you can thank Donald Trump and RFK Jr for cutting funding and gutting the CDC! 🤬 huffpost.com/entry/cdc-stop…

You don't send 20 FBI agents to a residence for a "routine" check. You know they are clearing out Lindsey Graham's computers, correspondence, and personal notes. They are protecting this administration by wiping away any incriminating evidence.

@MacFarlaneNews @KatiePhang Incarceration would be a better strategy. $1000 per day is peanuts to billionaires. And the people in the Epstein Files, sure as hell, aren't going to let the Files see the light of day.

ALERT: More trouble for Todd Blanche today. Attorneys for @KatiePhang ask Judge Emmet Sullivan to issue a $1000/day fine against Blanche until Blanche adheres to court order to release more Epstein files (Blanche refused to do so by July 2 deadline)

Maine, I'm running for the United States Senate to fight for Medicare for All. To build an economy that works for everyone, not just billionaires and big corporations. And to defend reproductive rights, full stop. Susan Collins has had her chance. Decades of siding with the privileged few while working people get squeezed. Time's up. I've shown up for Mainers before — through the toughest days of a pandemic, when it mattered most. I'm ready to do it again. This fight is for everyday Mainers. Let's go win it.

When Republicans voted to cut Medicaid by nearly $1 trillion and let ACA premium tax credits expire—all to help pay for tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy—this is the result. 👇 Congressmen Bacon and Flood voted for it. #NE02 #NE01
Nebraska For Us@NebraskaForUs

The Republican health care plan is here. Congress let the ACA premium tax credits expire. Now premiums are rising by double digits, and 3 million Americans have already dropped their health coverage because they can't afford it. This was a choice. They own it.

@giveashitnature I would suggest waiting until fall to plant a tree(s). Easier to get the tree established in the fall.

Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature·
On a hot July day, a single mature tree in your yard pumps somewhere around 100 gallons of water up from its roots and out through its leaves as water vapor. A mature elm with 150,000 leaves can clear that in a day. As that water evaporates off the leaf surface, it carries heat away with it, the same basic physics that makes sweat work. The air around the canopy drops measurably. The cooling effect of a single large tree transpiring 100 gallons of water is roughly equivalent to two household air conditioning units running all day. Except it runs on sunlight and groundwater, costs nothing, and has been doing it since before your house was built. A yard with mature canopy runs 5 to 10 degrees cooler than a paved or treeless yard next door. That's not a feeling. It's a physics difference you can measure with a thermometer. The urban heat island is real, and it gets worse one removed tree at a time. The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is this weekend, before another hot ass July like this one comes around.
