BREAKING: Rep. Thomas Massie has been ousted from Congress after losing Kentucky’s KY-04 Republican primary to Trump-endorsed challenger Ed Gallrein.

In less than three hours, we should have a really good understanding of who’s going to win the Kentucky primary election for Kentuckys 4th District. Thomas Massie’s is a national hero.

I know many people feel torn about the whole Thomas Massie situation, and I’ve been trying to sort through my own thoughts on it. I’ll do my best to explain where I land while trying to be fair to both sides. I’ll probably end up disappointing people on both ends of this debate, but I have to call things as I see them. That means acknowledging faults on both sides, even when it’s uncomfortable. 🔻 On principle, I believe foreign billionaires should not be able to pour massive amounts of money into our elections to pick winners and losers. PERIOD. That cuts against everything MAGA is supposed to stand for. That’s why I’m bothered by the millions Miriam Adelson and the Republican Jewish Coalition have put behind their preferred candidate, Ed Gallrein. —— FULL STOP ✋ that is not ok. It just doesn’t sit right with me. 🔻 At the same time, Massie isn’t without blame here either. He has accepted over $35,000 in campaign contributions from Sam Mahrouq—a wealthy Muslim-American businessman with Palestinian roots—and members of his family. The same family has also donated nearly $21,000 to Rep. Ilhan Omar and more than $18,500 to Rep. Rashida Tlaib. —— FULL STOP. ✋ This is a red flag. On the other side, Jewish billionaire Jeff Yass contributed $7.5 million to Protect Freedom PAC, which then funneled $1 million to a new pro-Massie super PAC called Kentucky First PAC. —— FULL STOP ✋ This is a red flag. 🔻 The truth is, both sides are playing the same game. I also think some of the criticism of Massie’s voting record gets overstated. In many cases, he opposed bills because of problematic provisions or government overreach tucked inside them. That said, not every vote has been perfect on his end as well. But I also agree with a lot of things Massie says. He makes good points. For me, the biggest concern has been Massie’s handling of the Epstein issue. He stayed dead silent during the Obama and Biden years—no press conferences, no pushing for real transparency. He only became vocal recently. That timing never sat well with me. —— FULL STOP ✋ tha is a red flag. It’s also become clearer that many of the so-called “Epstein survivors” promoted in the media were deeply flawed or outright fraudulent. And it is a fact these “survivors” were elevated/paid for by left-wing donors like Reid Hoffman, Soros-linked groups, the Rockefellers, and the Tides Foundation. —— FULL STOP ✋ that is a red flag. On top of that, seeing radical left-wing Democrats and media outlets suddenly championing Massie raises real red flags for me. Look, I don’t support any foreign money flooding into our elections—whether it’s from Miriam Adelson or anyone else. It should be ILLEGAL. I’m not claiming to have it all figured out. I’m just one person trying to reason through a messy situation the best I can… But given everything I’ve weighed, the scale tips for me in favor of Ed Gallrein in this race.

A one-page addition quietly attached to yesterday's $1.8 billion settlement permanently bars the IRS from examining Trump's tax returns, his family, and his companies. The original settlement said nothing about taxes. This showed up the next day. Former IRS commissioner Danny Werfel said he was "unaware of a single precedent where the IRS has agreed in advance to permanently forgo examination of previously filed tax returns for a specific person or business."
