The New Jerusalem as a city is actually a picture of the one body of Christ, the bride of the Lamb (Rev. 21:9) composed of: •Believing Jews (12 tribes) •Believing Gentiles (12 apostles) To single out a specific physical group as being “showcased” is to miss the imagery being painted in this apocalyptic writing about a heavenly city and the point that is made throughout the New Testament that we are all one in Christ.

Israel will always be a showcase in God’s future program. Revelation 21:12 It has a massive, high wall with twelve gates, with twelve angels at the gates, and the names of the twelve tribes of the sins of Israel are written on the gates.

@DanielPDiMaio IMO the 1000 years of Revelation is occurring now as Jesus reigns in the heavenly Jerusalem and the 1000 years is not a literal thousand years but is symbolic of a long length of time. A literal interpretation of Revelation 20 leads to some absurd and illogical scenarios.

The unique role of Israel in God’s plan of salvation was to bring forth the One through whom salvation comes to the world. In that sense, their distinct calling finds its fulfillment in Christ, who saves all who believe. Beyond this, the New Testament does not present an additional layer of uniqueness that results in a separate plan of salvation or a distinct future promise based on both faith and physical descent. The emphasis consistently shifts to faith in Christ as the defining marker of inclusion in the promise. Paul—a “Hebrew of Hebrews” and a scholar of the prophets—nowhere outlines a separate covenantal future reserved exclusively for those of Abraham’s physical lineage. Instead, his message repeatedly centers on the unity of all believers in Christ and their shared participation in the same promise. Even when Paul says “all Israel” in Romans 11:26 it is in reference to salvation and not to a restoration to land on this current earth.

Whenever I emphasize the chosenness of the Jewish people, I’m not saying that Jews are better than Gentiles. (We’re not.) I’m saying that God has a unique role for the Jewish people in His plans of world salvation, and so the Body of Messiah should seek to help the Jewish people—provoking Jews to jealousy so that they will accept Yeshua as Messiah and be saved, standing with Jews against their adversaries, and not trying to usurp or appropriate God’s calling of the people of Israel.

Replacement Theology robs us of one of the most powerful apologetic arguments for the truth of the Bible. The Bible describes our current geopolitical situation in amazing detail: The Jewish people scattered across the earth (Leviticus 26:33; Deuteronomy 28:64). The miraculous rebirth of Israel and return of the exiles (Isaiah 11:11–12; Ezekiel 36:24; 37:21–22; Amos 9:14–15). The descendants of Ishmael becoming a great people warring against themselves (Genesis 16:10–12; 17:20). The whole world drunk on the “luxurious living” of Babylon (Revelation 18:3, 7, 9–19). The surrounding nations turning against Israel (Zechariah 12:2–3; 14:2). Jerusalem becoming a “cup of trembling” (Zechariah 12:2–3; Zechariah 14:2; Joel 3:1–2). The nations being against the temple (Psalm 79:1; Luke 21:24; Revelation 11:1–2). Many of the nation’s currently fighting Israel are even in the same geographic location of the ancient enemies of Israel (Psalm 83:1–8; Ezekiel 35:10; 36:2). It even predicts the rise of those who scoff (spiritualize?) at the coming of Christ and the fulfillment of prophecies (2 Peter 3:3–4; Jude 1:17–18). It's impossible for this to be a coincidence. It’s time for Christians to wake up and reject Replacement Theology.

@mattsuhmd @jmgrimwood @juvelibertarian Adopted heir and therefore heirs of the same promise. It’s about covenant standing which is the foundation of the argument between the physical descendant and those who are descendants through faith. If one is grafted in one has to ask grafted into what?

You make a good point—one that Paul himself makes many times, yet is often misunderstood. If you are in Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendant and an heir according to the promise (Galatians 3:29). This obviously doesn’t mean a person is genetically changed when they believe, but that they become a descendant based on covenant standing. And covenant standing is really the heart of the entire argument. The question, then, is this: does someone who is genetically connected to Abraham and also has faith possess a separate promise from those who are only of faith? That distinction is not found in the New Testament. Even the verse many point to—“all Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26)—does not single out a separate land promise or a distinct covenantal future, but rather points to salvation, which belongs to all who are in Christ. Wouldn’t you expect Paul—who calls himself a “Hebrew of Hebrews” and was deeply trained in the writings of the prophets—to clearly articulate a separate future hope belonging uniquely to those of Abraham’s physical lineage if such a distinction existed? Yet instead, his argument repeatedly emphasizes that in Christ there are no physical distinctions, and that all share in the same promise. It is difficult to reconcile the idea of complete unity in Christ with the notion of two distinct groups maintaining separate promises.

This passage in Book of Isaiah 45 is speaking about Cyrus the Great and a historical restoration from Babylon. It does not present or point to a future end-times restoration of Israel that can be equated with the modern nation today. What it does clearly show is that God can use even pagan leaders to accomplish His purposes. The question then becomes: if a future restoration of physical Israel were the answer to the concern that God’s word has not failed, why does Paul the Apostle not appeal to that in Epistle to the Romans 9? Instead, he explains: Romans 9:6 — “For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel” Romans 9:8 — “It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants.” Notice how Paul shifts the focus from physical descent to identity as the “children of God.” Rather than pointing to a future national restoration to defend God’s faithfulness, he defines the true heirs of the promise as those who are children of promise—not merely those of physical lineage. This same idea is made explicit in Epistle to the Galatians 3:29: “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.” So the emphasis is not on fleshly descent, but on being in Jesus Christ, which is what defines the true heirs of Abraham and the covenant promises.

Isaiah 45:1-7 reveals that God raises up powerful Gentiles to assist in the restoration/preservation of Israel in order that He may be glorified. The assertion that modern Israel isn't the Israel of the Bible simply because it was "created" or preserved by Gentiles (e.g., the Rothschilds, Great Britain, the U.S. etc.) fails to account for this. The restoration and preservation of modern Israel is vindicated by Scripture and is proof of God's existence. And it is praiseworthy.

The Creator is the God of Israel all through the Scriptures. Israel remains Israel all through the Scriptures. The gentiles worship all the other gods besides YHWH the God of Israel almost through all the Scriptures. The “gentile church” did not exist until Acts 10, and it was only a true church if it was grafted into Israel, the true ekklesia that existed since Sinai. The Creator today is still the God of Israel. Israel today is still Israel. Many Gentiles today believe they are Israel and the church and that their God doesn’t need to be the God of Israel. How do we not see how backwards and out of line with the Bible that is?

Your misunderstanding reminds of Nicodemus thinking Jesus meant one had to crawl back into their mother’s womb to be born again. Paul is speaking strictly about covenant standing not about a fleshly requirement. One in Christ means all are sharing in the same promise and covenant. To be one in Christ and yet still be two groups with separate covenants is completely antithetical to Paul’s teaching.

Paul is NOT saying there are no biologic sexes for crying out loud. In the Greek it would read there is no Judahite (southern tribes) no Greek (Northern tribes) all are one in Christ in spirit, in belief. This does not negate biology! Look at the temple layouts. There was a court for the women of the 12 tribes. A court for the men of the 12 tribes. A court for the Priests and a court for the mixed multitude. Gentile which is another trick they used means two things they combined to fool people much like they fooled loads of people with the Masoretic fraud missing 1500 years from Adam to Noah and stripped from it's pages every overt mention of the coming 5, 500 promise (Word of God made flesh to save Adam and his righteous seed). Gentile can mean mixed mulitude, but mostly when it translated by the usual suspects in the publishing houses it means a combo of ethnic-kinsfolk-nations and not just nations- "mixed nations".

No, Paul is not speaking only to ethnic Israelites in Galatians 3:29 when he says who is an heir according to the promise. The immediate context makes that clear. Galatians 3:28 (NASB95) says: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” The point is that in Christ, these distinctions no longer define covenant status. Therefore, in verse 29, when Paul says “you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise,” he is referring to all who are in Christ, not a DNA-defined group. This same principle is expressed in Romans 9:6: “For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel.” Paul is distinguishing between physical Israel and a deeper, promise-based Israel. What’s especially important in Romans 9:7–8 is how Paul equates terms. He moves from “Abraham’s descendants” (v.7) to “children of God” (v.8), showing they are not defined by physical lineage but by promise: “It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants.” So being a “descendant of Abraham” is not ultimately about physical descent, but about being a child of God through the promise—what Paul already established in Galatians 3:29.

This is silly. Jesus said himself " I AM sent only onto the lost House of Israel (or simply Israel in some translations). That is physical, ethnic, DNA. Paul is speaking to Israelites heirs of the promise. Ephesians 2:14 the dividing wall between Judah (southern tribes) and Israel (northern tribes_ has been demolished, shortly after we have Christendom. The SEED of Abraham is Jesus The children of Abraham are Ishmael (Arabs) believers in Jesus Esau (Stewards-Jews) Believers in Jesus Jacob- 12 tribes Heirs of the promise and if they believe they are Israel. The first tribe to leave the 12 was Dan and he marked the ways that all other tribes would follow. He went to Greece and became the Spartans. He also was the the first to Ireland, then over to Normandy, settling Denmark that created both Sweden and Norway mixed with other 12 tribes making Naphtali and Asher. Jeremiah took the footstool (Jacob's Stone) of the Ark/Throne (buried under the containment wall of Jerusalem) which is David's throne, and with him and it took princesses Tia Tephi of the second house and Scotia of the first house of David and ended up in Ireland. There the second house settled and Scotia settled Scotland. The Davidic bloodline was reconstituted there after King Zedekiah was killed by the Babylonians and his two sons were murdered right in front of him before he died. later the Stone left Ireland and went to Scotland and then ended up in England (Ephraim) where all Irish, Scot and English Monarchs were crowned upon. Today it is likely hid in Scotland because the bloodline was usurped way back under Victoria by Esau Steward Jews (who's time had come again) and totally replaced by QE2. This is why when she was crowned Scot Nationalists took the Stone and replaced it with a fake. Now I do not expect you to believe this and I hate writing these things out after literally 100s of thousands of hours of study because only about 5% of you 501 C3 Corp Church people even have a remote clue and just spew nonsense that you've been brainwashed with, not willing to actually study or investigate. So have at it...tell me how I am "wrong" again...

Which is the reason many of the Pharisees didn’t recognize Jesus is because they were looking for a Messiah who would conquer land, not hearts. But Christ came first to conquer the heart. His kingdom doesn’t originate from this sin-cursed world, nor is it established by overthrowing earthly systems. Instead, He transforms people from within. This present world isn’t ultimately “conquered” in its current state—it is made new. A new creation. And that renewed creation is inherited by those whose hearts He has already conquered. That is the hope set before us.

None of those facts matter to what is revealed in the NT about covenant standing ONLY requires a position in Jesus. Unless you can find confirmation within the NT to prove there is a unique covenant to one of faith and the correct dna. Paul tells us in Galatians 3:29 that anyone in Jesus is Abraham’s descendant and an heir according to promise. Is their any covenant where an heir is not according to promise. The Sinai covenant was a promise with self obtained conditions attached to it. We know that those conditions could not a cannot be met.

Keep in mind, we know who he was writing to because Paul mentions the name of those from where all 12 tribes were deposited (745-721 BC) and they were known as both Scythians and Cimmerians- the largest migrations of the 12 tribes out of Israel. From these two branches came all of the white pagan tribes that flooded into Europe and formed later, Christendom.

@TruthForIzzy @richtidwell Biblical recognition of ethnicity is not an endorsement that that ethnicity meets a requirement for a unique covenant for that ethnicity. Keep in mind that James was writing this 2000 years ago where dna testing wasn’t required to know if he was addressing them correctly.
