This is really, really dumb politics from Badenoch. The point of her speech was to convince as many Labour MPs as possible to vote with her. To make a grand statement they would struggle to ignore. Instead, the Epstein jibe just sank any hope of that.

Darren Jones is once again proving his ability to stand up in the house and dismantle opposing arguments clearly and passionately whilst maintaining warmth. I feel this speech alone would have brought the majority of Labour MPs to the no lobby without a whip being required.
