The “mark of the beast” in Revelation is fundamentally about worship and allegiance, not technology. In Revelation 13 and 14, the mark is given only to those (pay attention here!) who consciously worship the beast and pledge loyalty to his system. The imagery of a “mark on the hand and forehead” point back to Deuteronomy 6, where God’s people symbolically bear his law on their hands and foreheads. In the same way, the beast’s mark symbolizes a person’s loyalty to a false, anti-Christ-like power. Please understand: Christians cannot accidentally take the mark of the beast, whether we're talking about ID chips, biometric scanners, or anything similar. The mark of the beast is a spiritual and moral reality tied to denying Christ and embracing a rival lord.
