⭕️MUST READ from Tamir Morag (Channel 14): Beyond Hormuz, there is a deeper geopolitical reason that should motivate Trump not to end the war with Iran by backing down, without the removal of enriched uranium or alternatively renewing military strikes: In terms of human lives and economic costs, this is one of the easiest wars the US has ever fought: 13 deaths, a significant financial expenditure but one that does not destabilize the American economy, and economic damage that, despite all the noise, remains quite limited (the current price of a gallon of fuel is still significantly lower than the peak price during the Biden administration - $4.2 compared to $5). Even if the fuel price rises further, the US cannot afford to send a message to China that it is unable to withstand even such a "relaxed war." Such a message would be a significant factor in China's considerations regarding an invasion of Taiwan, which is expected to exact much heavier costs from Washington in every respect. It can be assumed that Trump understands this, and therefore, despite the enthusiasm of some journalists and politicians, it is very early to declare the end of the campaign against Iran as an American retreat.

In a generation's time the hope is that the Alamo will be thought to be an old Mosque.

I don't know why so many people had such a hard time understanding it. We had always had two parties operating within the bounds of liberal democracy, respectful of the constitutional order, the rule of law, nonpartisan democratic institutions, our alliances and collective security agreements, democratic norms and mores. One that was Left. One that was Right. And then that changed. The one that was Right abandoned liberal democracy and tried to destroy it while in league with nefarious foreign actors who wish to destroy the West. Suddenly the game is no longer between what had been Left and Right. It's now between liberal democracy and authoritarianism. Under those circumstances it's very CONSERVATIVE to vote for the party that still functions as part of our constitutional federalist democratic republic. I can understand that some might not be able to do it, especially social/cultural conservatives, but it takes an especially confused mind, as though it were intentional confusion, to not understand why some of us could given the circumstances.

Again I point out that a constitutional right was violated, a right that other countries in the world do not share.
