@MartinKulldorff @GovRonDeSantis @radhikajones @VanityFair Vanity Fair & other popular magazines (Huff, Beast, even Atlantic) should avoid editorials on medicine or public health. They will be misleading or flat wrong about anything and everything. They risk creating a divisive politics of health, a bad outcome for actual human health.

@MarkChangizi In the US, highway routes are well planned, decades in advance. The many local flows that extend from the planned main roads are more emergent and similar to constructal laws. Since routes are constrained by physical limits (cortex, public land) is deep scaling "in" not out?

City highway networks follow the same deep scaling laws that brains do. In both cases there is no master planner, but they discover the same solution. changizi.com/uploads/8/3/4/…

@KelleyKga The core Twitter leaders in the complexity community were vehement promoters of masking. Taleb of Antifragile fame, doubled down with complexity scientist pal @yaneerbaryam to show exponential impacts & scare-tweet people into using masks as PEP/prophylactics. I was skeptical.

In the wake of debate about the Cochrane review and a new New York Times op-ed from Zeynep Tufecki claiming "the science is clear that masks work," many are just learning about her outsized influence on mask recommendations early in the pandemic. kelleyk.substack.com/p/where-us-mas…

Any comments from Canadian health practitioners? Has the new system reached an asymptotic point post-Zucker? And now post-Tavistock? What would harm reduction really mean here? theglobeandmail.com/canada/toronto…

Time is the most savvy of peer reviews. Patiently observing a dynamic system over time is preferable to hearing those who pretend that their look-how-dumb-you-are niggles add any value. It is critical one learn how to spot pretenders in this manner. twitter.com/EthicalSkeptic…

So TGA hiding childrens deaths from Covid-19 vaccines. FOI requests not published publicly. I found a 10 and 5 year old who both died from the same batch, Pfizer FP1430. I have a fatality report on a 14 year old. There’s also a 7, 9, 15, 17 and 19 year olds. Stop jabbing kids!

Florida saw a 1,700% increase in adverse event reports after COVID-19 vaccinations. Does that sound safe and effective? I didn’t think so either. That’s why we released this health alert.   Just because “correlation ≠ causation” doesn’t mean we should abandon common sense.
Florida Dept. of Health@HealthyFla

.@FLSurgeonGen has notified the health care sector and the public of a substantial increase in VAERS reports from Florida, including for life-threatening conditions. floridahealth.gov/newsroom/2023/…

The WHO is a glorified industry association. Look at who funds them. It is not "a health UN." All healthcare - as with democracy - is local. Patients and populations are local/regional. The idea of centralizing health policy is a pharma/bureaucrat's dream.

This is a very, very bad trend: "Misleading" means questioning the World Health Organization. Next we'll burn people who say the Earth revolves around the Sun

Stop misleading Canadians, Minister Lametti. You're not being forced to provide MAID to people with mental illness, this is just something you want to do. MAID for people with mental illness is not inevitable, it’s actually immoral. Members of your own Liberal caucus agree.

For-profit clinics are exploiting a loophole in the Canada Health Act to sell preferential access to surgery. New Democrats believe Canadians should have access to care based on need, not wealth. Liberals must close this loophole and stop the spread of two-tier health care.
