Trello, Linear, Notion, Jira. None of them care if you ship. They're built for teams. You're not a team. That's why you have 12 unfinished side projects. I know the feeling. so I built FoundStep for Solo Devs who need a tool that pushes back👇 ✅ Mandatory workflow (No skipping steps) 🎯 7-step idea validation 🔒 Lock scope with limited unlocks 📜 Shame history logs every excuse, permanently 🤖 AI guidance + MVP planner 🚢 Auto-advances project progress ⚓ The Harbor , your public wall of finished projects ✨ Shareable Ship Cards for every win No half-built projects. No excuses. foundstep.com

@creatorpascal Building in public build you an audience who love the progress thats it. most cases they wont be your customers anyway.

If you're not building in public, you're competing against people who are. They will always have more data, more compounding, more surface area for luck to find them. Building in private was a luxury of the old economy. The new attention economy does not reward it.

@Isaacdev0 Lesson 1. Don't limit for above usecases always. If you're familiar with a language and it faciliates what you need then go for it dont waste time choosing languages for different usecases!

@seraleev I would go with option 1. Before building it for someone else, i want to be the first user of my product. For that the idea should solve my own problem!

which one do you skip the most? mine's creating contents that market my product. i'd rather code for 10 hours than creating 1 single post :(

solo dev simple checklist no one actually follows but works: → focus on marketing the product (create 1 post, 1 video, 1 article / day) → charge more than you're comfortable with (minimum 10.99$) → stop adding features that are nice to have but not required to have → close 4 tabs we all know this. but we all ignore it! any item i missed in the list?

@desilvakdn @pcshipp Yeahwhen I first added a paywall, some users got upset and left the group. But honestly, those are usually the people who were never going to pay anyway they just consume your time The paying users rarely complainThey just subscribe quietlyFocus on yr target users, not the loudest

I have 1,400+ active users, and 60% use Guest Mode I made login mandatory to access paid features. Users started leaving 1⭐ reviews and delete the app If I allow paid features without login, becomes much harder to manage backend What would you do in this situation?

@clementlionne client didn't leave because claude is better. they left because what you sold them was something AI can now do. shift up design systems, custom logic, taste, judgment. AI eats the bottom, not the top. yet.

@naturedotcom better question is what you're building. python for side project / api / anything AI Java for example , for a banking system with 500 engineers. neither is 'better,' they're optimized for different problems.

Practical Launch Tip #2 🚀 Before you submit your product anywhere, write one clear one-liner. A good one-liner tells people: -Who it’s for -What it helps them do -Why they should care Simple format: Helps [specific person] do [specific outcome] without [specific pain]. Example: “Helps builders get ongoing product discovery without relying on one perfect launch day.” You are not trying to sound fancy. You are trying to make the right person understand it in 5 seconds. 📝

@TTrimoreau because 'perfect' is just my guess at what users want. real users will tell me what's actually broken faster than i can figure it out alone. shipping = learning, polishing in isolation = guessing.

@Taniyatweets_ I thinks its Cybersecurity. Because AI-written code isn't fully robust. it leaves vulnerabilities and security gaps. Someone will need to fix those issues down the line, especially in the apps being vibe-coded into unicorns today.
