You sit around the same table planning what and how to do your 5 lines of code adding to what thousand of thousand of people has contributed for decades.

I dont think so, I think its more about pragmatism that Torvalds has chosen for monolithic rather than theoritical microkernel design. the messaging between services also introduce new vulnerabilites which are ofc apple been doing great to mitigate them but, each has it flaws

@oxcrowx your definition of simple is flawed. simplicity is abstract, to some having bare metal touch is simple because they can align it with mental model of program while high level programming makes them nervous cause they don't have same mental model working - thus no understanding.

To me, there are only few modern languages that can be called simple: Odin, Austral, OCaml, Scheme, Lua, C3, and Go.
Most other widely loved / used languages like Rust, Zig, C++ etc. are fairly complex.
Now the dilemma is: Users seem to prefer the complex languages more.
Why?

@CryptoCyberia People ask for help and get swarmed by people telling them they're doing things wrong and shouldn't be using apps depending on Google services, etc. We want people to be able to use our forums to get help instead of being heavily criticized for using GrapheneOS the way they want.
