Eggesford Terriermen Tom Bounsall and Jake Crabb were due in court last week, on 3 charges each of interfering with a badger sett. They’re due back in court in October.

The 1st May marks the beginning of the hunting season, a date which sees administrative changes taking place before they all gather together, later in the year, to head out and kill wildlife. The 1st of May also means there are 48 days left to respond to the government's consultation into banning "trail hunting." The HSA has provided carefully collated guidelines to assist you in the completion of the consultation, and these can be found at 👉huntsabs.org.uk/ha-campaign/ha… If you have already completed the consultation, please share with your family, friends and colleagues. The 2020 leaked Hunting Office webinars—published by the Hunt Saboteurs Association—sparked a national scandal and brought down hunting’s governing body. It exposed the “trail hunt” smokescreen—how performative laying of smokescreen trails in front of observers, is used to disguise illegal hunting. The disgraced Hunting Office later re-emerged as the British Hound Sports Association. New name. Same smokescreen. The architect of the webinars—Lord (now plain old Baron) Mancroft has even been appointed to lead huntings “Westminster advisory group”. You couldn’t make it up. The aftermath exposed years of wildlife crime, implicating both landowners and police. Hunts lost land access, and the police (sometimes) finally began to shape up. The incoming government made a manifesto promise to ban the smokescreen, and here we are. We are holding them to their promise. Nigel Farage, director of Reform 2025 Ltd, is on record on numerous occasions redoubling down on his stance to repeal any hunting laws that this government brings into protect wildlife, should he be elected into government. Reform have also previously stated they would repeal the original hunting act, making it legal to course hares, and hunt foxes with packs of dogs. Reform are being backed by fox hunters - and fox hunters are backed by Reform. Send a message next months local elections to these bloodthirsty lowlifes that we won’t stand for politician’s who destroy our beloved British wildlife.

Another stag killed and whole herd terrorised all day thanks to the weak Hunting Act being abused. Just banning "trail hunting" is not enough, the Hunting Act needs a complete overhaul and removal of the vague exemptions that enable bloodsport to continue.

@Longlivethehunt @HuntSabs The reality is most people are not ideologically consistent, much like the politicians they vote for tbh.

@HuntSabs They lead the polls so im guessing either your poll is wrong that 80% of the public are opposed to hunting, or the opinion polls are wrong that reform are leading, both cant be correct

With local elections looming in May - send a strong message to Reform and the Tories - both parties would undo hard-won wildlife protections - that we do not want a return to dark-ages animal cruelty. Farage's 'Reform' has said they would repeal the hunting ban. Make sure they know there is no room for their politics of hatred and abuse.

You know who'll be voting for REFORM this May? Fox hunters and hare coursers - that's who. Farage is a fox hunters best friend. Don't let them within a country mile of your local council this May. Send them a strong message that those who support blood sports are not welcome.
