@CiroContns The individualism of the single characters is softened through the game, they melt into a group identity which the player embodies. I think this is where the games get their tension: 'We are facing doom, but we are not separate.'

@CiroContns I think what gives FF its identity is being part of a group of friends who face overwhelming odds together (Usually some kind of godlike entity, be it mythological or governmental). Becoming stonger as a group and restoring some kind of natural order.

Can somebody explain to me the appeal of the Final Fantasy series? Outside of pure nostalgia because you've grown up with it. Like, being a bit analytical, what is something that is REALLY great about it? (a common trait to the series, or about just one of the games)
