My deeply awkward, introverted self accidentally took down a Karen today. Picture it: I’m next in line. Woman in front of me is mid-rant berating the poor cashier—who is about to cry. Karen turns to me, assuming I’m Team Karen bc that’s how I present, and says, “This is unacceptable, right?” I stared at her mouth and said the first thing that came to mind. “You have lettuce in your teeth.” 6 words. Oh, the way she instantly deflated. I will be telling this story to my children .
