@bengold When it comes to prototyping, “advanced” is a bug, not a feature. Prototyping is about exploring and communicating ideas, and simplest is best. Prototyping tools that add too many features get bogged down by their own weight.

Why isn’t there a great, well supported, easy to use advanced prototyping tool? Like the Figma of prototyping? Prototyping in Figma is extremely limited. Principle is the closest thing, but it’s one guy making it.

@jspujji This is one of the foundational books I’ve built my career on. Must read for any services business.

This book looks terrible and it reads boring as hell. BUT it nails everything you need to know about running a services business: + Team + Margins + Business Development Go buy it!

Oh the irony of crafting a presentation on typography using Google Slides. It's like preparing a Michelin star dish with plastic cutlery.

@rcousine I can taste the spongy crust just looking at this image. Where's the dipping sauce?

Pizza isn’t so much about “the best” or “your favorite” as it is about what you imprinted on when young. Anyway, it turns out my heart yearns for Panago Classic.

ParkerGale's Weekly Sales Metrics Playbook - Walking Through Our Reporting Template buff.ly/46k6joe --> This was largely inspired by some of the work Paul and I did at a portfolio company so take a listen for the next-level of detail.

@davidfowl I swear no one at Apple has kids and uses it. It has to be the buggiest piece of software I’ve used in recent years.

Seen in my hotel parking lot, a very spicy, slightly sketchy MR2. Also other cars:

@JeanetteSiret @Xero @xerousers I find this incredibly frustrating as well. I've been filing reproducible bugs with the new reports for 3 years now that are just ignored. I do not get why they're insisting on replacing something that works with something that doesn't.

@Xero @xerousers But it obviously doesn't because the feedback is begging you to leave our reports alone as the new ones have so much white space [and more] it hurts to use them. Don't want to hear about changes under the hood cos we don't care, we want Beautiful Xero back

@xerousers are you aware @Xero have taken to censoring feedback from their customers by shutting down a thread on the feedback forum? It would seem that if customers aren't happy about the changes, they are not supposed to say!! Not so beautiful anymore

For the record I’m pretty much a Fair-weather cyclist and I mostly walk, and occasionally drive during the week. I am interested in what kind of infrastructure, and zoning changes would encourage more people like me to incorporate bikes into their daily routine.

@rcousine @ednl Yeah, I built a cheap anaglyph 3D rig with 2 DSLRs, a 2x4 and bolts that matched the tripod thread pattern. Not pretty but it worked!

@ednl yeah, that’s the general idea. I can buy tripod screws, I was just hoping for a readymade solution, but DIY might win this.

Photography twitter: I need the most minimalist “tripod” possible, like a flat plate I can put on a table, with a tripod screw (or quick-release plate) so I can just keep this slide copying rig still and stable (it has a standard tripod threaded hole on the bottom)

@OnlyCFO Why not? Seems like a good option to sell, especially if a customer is looking for a discount.

According to Wikipedia, The CRA has ~55,000 employees to service the ~38M people in Canada, and the IRS has 93K to service the ~332M people in the US. HOW / WHY? 🤯

@BrentToderian I’m surprised secure bike storage isn’t higher. It’s a blocker for a lot of trips, especially on e-bikes.

This actually isn’t surprising at all, but it still needs to said over & over — the biggest barrier to more urban biking in cities is the fear of cars. “A study confirms that if we are serious about getting people on bikes, they need a safe place to ride.” treehugger.com/fear-of-cars-b…
