“Blessings from heaven are more than moments of good fortune,” observes Derrick Porter.

The strongest people are not those who receive constant applause from others; they are those who have learned to draw strength from God's presence. Make Him your confidence, your identity, and your expectation. When God is your Source, disappointments lose their power, criticism loses its sting, and delays lose their ability to discourage you. Your future is too valuable to be controlled by human approval. Keep your eyes on Christ, remain faithful to His Word, and allow His voice to become louder than every other voice. Those who depend on God are never ultimately disappointed, because He always remains faithful to His promises.

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” - Matthew 22: 29-30
—————————————————
Some commentators point out that the verbs being used here are in the present tense, describing what people do in the resurrection specifically. Not prior to, like the Spirit World, where proxy ordinances can be done for those who have already passed but had no opportunity to accept The Gospel and/or be sealed for eternity.
So yes, in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage. By the time of the resurrection, if you have done neither, you are as the angles. This is also confirmed in D&C 132:16-17 which reads:
“Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in marriage; but are appointed angels in heaven, which angels are ministering servants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory. For these angels did not abide my law; therefore, they cannot be enlarged, but remain separately and singly, without exaltation, in their saved condition, to all eternity; and from henceforth are not gods, but are angels of God forever and ever.”
Neither man or woman can be exalted (joint-heirs with Christ) alone. They have to be made “one flesh” by the power of God.

My beloved brethren and sisters, today I would like to speak about one of the most significant gifts given to the world in modern times. The gift I am thinking of is more important than any of the inventions that have come out of the industrial and technological revolutions. This is a gift of greater value to mankind than even the many wonderful advances we have seen in modern medicine. It is of greater worth to mankind than the development of flight or space travel. I speak of the gift of the Book of Mormon, given to mankind 156 years ago.

“I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth—that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, sir, in the sacred writings, that ‘except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.’”- Benjamin Franklin, June 28, 1787, calling for prayer at the Constitutional Convention

Joseph Smith ordains Brigham Young president of the Quorum of the 12, witnessed by Wandle Mace:
"Joseph...proceeded to ordain Brigham Young President of the Twelve Apostles, said he, "while you live no other man can hold this power that is now conferred upon you," or words to that effect.
All who were present upon that occasion [have] passed to the other side and I only am left. I too must soon follow them."
