Once again what about children with special needs who are continuously being failed with lack of or non existent school places, little to no services, teachers & snas who need more supports, training, the list goes on #EnoughIsEnough

It’s really satisfying to see the workers get some justice after the horrendous treatment they were subjected to from theis employer.
We spent months on the picket so it’s bitter sweet to see them triumphant.

The state is failing children with special needs.
PBP stands with the parents of those kids left without school places, waiting for assesments of needs or just fed up with lack of supports, protesting at the Dáil today.

The reality is that children who need additional supports have always been neglected by the Irish State.
Over the past 20yrs families have slowly seen a deterioration in services and their standard of living.
We need that to change!

Ireland is failing our kids with special needs. We met with parents, teachers and SNAs yesterday to hear their stories and demands. Next Thursday we are bringing this to the floor of the Dail with a motion to the Dail to champion their call for school places for all.

We’ve had 13yrs of Gov and two ministers for disability yet we’ve gotten poorer.
Now we read the ERSI report that we have gotten poorer!!
After two ministers for disability in office and things only getting worse how can that be seen as progress.
The referendum has shown us that our disabled community and caring community will not tolerate it any more!!!

Our own Bernard in town very early this to support those families without school places for their children with needs for the upcoming school year.
Once again a parents have to come out very early in the morning, tired and cold to fight for their children.
It’s shameful.

Once again parents and carers have to resort to fighting for the rights of their children.
Once again our children with additional needs are left floundering in a sea of hopelessness!
@SimonHarrisTD this cannot continue and it needs immediate action.
A demo has been called for led by parent Greg Lewis tomorrow from 8:40 under Clearys clock to highlight the continued stress and anxiety that our children and their families are enduring!

@AccessForAll7 Absolutely appalling. All people with additional needs require is the support resources and services in order to help them live a good quality life, rather than a constant fight and battle for what they are entitled to 🙈

We are so taken aback by this article.
After reading it we were very sad and very angry as it appears to us that the solution to the problem of supporting people and resourcing services to assist those people who have additional needs is to have no people with additional needs. 😢
