@mattletiss7 EFL will be desperate for us to win tonight so they don’t have to take serious action, expect a penalty or 2 for Boro tonight

Makes me laugh that Boro failed to take the advantage at home despite all the “ammo” they needed over last 48 hours or so. Tuesday will be fun 💪 #SaintsFC

@Project_Boro And what about a player diving to win a game winning penalty in the playoff final? Should the team be kicked out? Cheating happens at all levels, it just appears you're ok with it when it only affects your team.

It’s no surprised AT ALL that the only people blinded by the severity of Spygate 2.0, are Southampton fans. All neutrals, pundits, BBC, CBS, Sky etc, have all said they need severely punishing as what they’ve done is disgusting. Kick. Them. Out. youtu.be/kqY9BUPRO3k?si…

Kaly Sene must have made the single worst substitute appearance for MFC ever. Not one thing he did there improved the game or our chances or winning. #BORO #UTB

@LBC @lewis_goodall @HausdorffMedia @owenjonesjourno Hamas started this war by invading Israel on October 7. They had built more tunnels than the London Underground but didn’t allow civilians to shelter in them. They could have ended the war by releasing hostages. They even kept corpses of hostages they murdered. It’s all on them.

@BoroHistory I know it’s mad but have you considered just getting behind the lads? I’m glad we are at home first because we have one of the best away records in the league this year. We have struggled against park the bus teams, saints aren’t a park the bus team.

We all knew it would be the playoffs for #Boro before today - but I’m far from confident playing Southampton over 2 legs with the 2nd leg away. Most worrying that we are relying on Kaly Sene (one of the worst signings of the modern era) and Sarmiento to change things.

@FPLMate In any other sport Emery would be charged with non trying and would be banned for months. He played a reserve team for obvious reasons but basically brought the PL into disripute

@untypicalboro @MichaelCGlasper One day everyone will realise that they are all the same, until they stop 2nd jobs, business interests and lobbyists there will always be conflicts of interest with what’s good for them and their constituents. Maybe good intentions but are inevitably greased by their donors.

@MichaelCGlasper The naive old muesli-knitting eco-greens of decades standing have been totally unprepared to deal with the hyper-activity and factional feuding of the influx of refugees from Momentum and Your Party who are now driving policy and taking up positions as candidates.

@djshaw45 @untypicalboro Yeah you have watched a different team, what’s plan B when your players miss chance after chance? If we created nothing then you can blame the manager and bang on about plan b but the stats clearly show that’s not what happened.

@untypicalboro Think I must have watched a different team since January . Been pretty dire for 3 months . Lacklustre and so one dimensional lacking a plan B . Suppose I lost my rose tints after Oxford in February .

Whatever happens, we are well set with Helberg. #Boro have played some excellent football packed with passion and tempo at times, created lots of chances and fostered a real sense of unity at the Riverside. Plenty to be positive about. #UTB

Sky's @SophyRidgeSky challenges @SuellaBraverman on why Nigel Farage didn't declare a £5m financial benefit when he became an MP. @SuellaBraverman says it was "a personal gift for his private purposes" made before he was elected, and so doesn't need to declare it.

Kudos to Manchester City for freezing ticket prices following consultations with fans. Shows the importance of engaging with fans’ networks like City Matters. Kudos to @BroadstockLee @citymattersreps @WeAre1894. City have listened to fans which not enough clubs do. City are a wealthy club, it’s good PR, but it’s also the right thing to do. Fans bring the noise, the atmosphere, the mood boosts for players. Fans bring the backdrop that TV pays billions for. Clubs should show respect to fans and be measured in ticketing policies, especially given economic pressures on fans. City say they have “taken the approach in recognition of the extraordinary accumulated impact of the current cost of living pressures on fans and their families”. Still issues like those loyal fans being moved to accommodate corporates (club currently emailing fans of details). But, overall, City deserve praise. The introduction of 4,000 “Flexi-Season Tickets”, with 50% ringfenced for juniors, should definitely be welcomed. They are the future. Simplifying the ticket transfer policy makes sense and is fairer. “Fans will be able to list up to 18 friends and family, regardless of membership status, and can do this at any point throughout the season if they are unable to attend a match”. Makes it easier to hit the 10 mandatory games. Fans’ group 1894 “welcomes today's announcement from the club which is in direct contrast to other clubs in the Premier League who have been raising their match ticket and season ticket prices. It is undoubtedly a win for the fans and a vindication for the benefits of collective action across the fan base”. Main points of City announcement below... 👇 #MCFC

National League on DAZN
National League on DAZN@DAZN_NationalLg·
🚨 Rochdale and York City have released the following joint statement: “This Saturday’s game brings an end to one of the most thrilling, exciting and unpredictable title races in football history. Both ourselves and Rochdale have the chance to write our names in National League history. The National League is no longer a non-league competition. It is effectively a League 3, with fully professional clubs operating at a level equal to or higher than many of those in League 2. We both understand how important this game is to both clubs and supporters. We both pledge now that whatever happens tomorrow, we will both continue to fight for 3UP. Both clubs sit on over 100 points. One of us will have to fight once more in the National League Play-Offs. However, we both strongly believe that this shouldn’t have to be the case. We call on the National League, Football Regulator, EFL and Premier League to come together immediately and resolve this issue, so that we do not have to highlight this injustice year after year. For both sets of supporters attending the Crown Oil Arena this weekend, we say thank you for being with us all season. The passion you’ve shown for both clubs has been felt across the world. This game will be seen far and wide. We want to showcase this league for all its potential. Keep your support in the stands, not on the pitch, and let’s all protect the game we love. Thank you! Rochdale AFC & York City FC”
