Why does Dealign quantization matter? Because “open model” is not enough. A model only becomes useful when people can actually run it cheaply, locally, and efficiently. Quantization is what turns heavy AI models into something more usable for real users, developers, and consumer hardware. So the Supergemma thesis is basically: - Open-source AI needs better funding. - Local LLMs need better optimization. - Crypto can become the coordination layer between both. But the interesting part is that Supergemma is not just leaning on AI hype. It is forming around real local LLM work, public dev activity, and a contributor-reward thesis that actually fits crypto.
