@Inside1Buffalo@JamesRadio While the new additions aren’t anything special I think the same about the younger players on the team. Young players continued to develop. Didn’t expect this from Samuelsson honestly.
The prior year the Sabres didn't have Norris, Doan, Lyon, Timmins, Kesselring, or Metsa.
In addition, Samuelsson hadn't taken the step forward that he has this year.
And younger guys continued to get better as they approach peak athletic age (how many players are having career years).
The craziest thing about the Sabres to me is after 14+ years, one day they were great and that’s it. No build up. No signs of progress. No inching up standings year after year. Just bam. Great hockey team.
@diamonddangles4@JamesRadio The Dahlin data tells the real story, as you know.
The Sabres were 5-8-3 when he returned from Sweden. He had just 1 goal and 8 assists and was -11 then.
Since his return, the Sabres are 38-12-2 and Dahlin is +22 with 13 goals, 40 assists, and 53 points in the last 52 games.
@diamonddangles4@JamesRadio Not really. The turn occurred when their best players returned to the lineup.
Imagine what the Bills would look like without Allen.
@diamonddangles4@JamesRadio It didn't happen when they changed GM.
It started when Dahlin, Benson, Norris, and UPL returned to the lineup.
Sabres were 14-11-4 with Dahlin in the lineup PRIOR to GMKA being let go.
Did an “anti sweat draft” at work, basically it’s a long term bet over 10+ years picking teams that you think will NOT win a championship. And if they do you have to pay out everyone.
I went with:
MLB: Minnesota Twins
NFL: Miami Dolphins
NHL: Vancouver Canucks
NBA: Brooklyn Nets
@NHLRussell Darcy has looked so uncomfortable out there this season there's so many times where he's just swimming in his crease sliding all over the place
@JFreshHockey Laferriere tries to do the zetterberg pass behind the net 30 times a season. Has worked 1 time ever in garbage time. youtu.be/hRvQ2nbee7A?si…
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
