Doing this at a campaign event on 64th and 10th ave is something. I want to see if he pulls up to another Pratt event in south LA. If he does I’m gonna have a talk with him.

Regardless of our differences, I do not think it is right to celebrate the feds targeting Hasan Piker. A documentary in Cuba is not deserving of the same persecution as the Epstein class. Clear political persecution.

Ok, gloves off. Fuck it. CCP wants US open borders to dissolve the US and render it dysfunctional. FSB wants US closed borders to maximize multipolarity / break ties with allies in their backyard. Anybody pushing for any of these extremes is a useful idiot to foreign agents.

@DavidSacks So stop giving out H1-B visas if AI can do so much coding, you greedy assholes.

Q: How are job postings for software engineers rising rapidly despite AI agents automating coding? A: Because there’s far more code to manage than ever before. We’re already seeing a 14x YoY increase in GitHub commits, and it’s accelerating. AI has dramatically lowered the cost of writing code, so it’s now being used across far more businesses, applications, and use cases. We’re at the beginning of a massive productivity boom driven by the proliferation of bespoke software throughout the entire economy. Coding has been AI’s breakout use case this year. The fact that it’s increased demand for software engineers — rather than decreased it — should call into question the entire “AI will cause mass job loss” narrative.

@bscholl No, not really. What she's talking about requires fascism to fix. Forcing people to behave in ways that are non-destructive.

Building things like spaceships and data centers *is* how great people fix things and make Earth a better place for humans. It’s not dumping money on homeless people, which is an infinite sinkhole that will do nothing to stop homelessness and will actually make it worse.
daz@MetamateDaz

I genuinely don't understand people like Bezos and Musk. If I had billions of dollars, I would just start fixing everything. Homeless veterans sleeping on the streets? Not on my watch. Hungry children going to bed with empty stomachs? Hell no. They could be making life better but instead choose to build spaceships and data centers to pump stocks and destroy the planet

One of the areas in which I differ quite a bit from a lot of folks on the right is the discourse on Mexican immigrants. I think most of the hatred for Mexicans comes from a terminally online component of the right that lives in cities/suburbs and doesn't have much actual interaction with Mexican immigrants. Because boy, once you've worked a blue collar job or been to some cookouts with these guys, a lot of the arguments being used against them just seem completely ridiculous. I work in the oilfield. A huge percentage of my coworkers and friends here are Mexican. These dudes are overwhelmingly Christian, super family oriented, incredibly hard working people. They go shooting or do rodeo on the weekends. They essentially personify all the values that the right champions. So it blows my mind that these guys specifically have somehow become the boogeyman to a large percentage of rightwing people, despite being aligned with them on almost everything. In my experience they are solidly good and freedom loving people putting in a ton of honest work to build a good life for their families. They are honestly doing a better job of perpetuating the American dream than a lot of white folks....like I'd rather have 1000 of these dudes in my town than 1000 white communist blue hair types.

They would fire all their administrators and hospitals would be like 99% cheaper. Disaster only insurance would cost pennies instead of a mortgage. And a bunch of stupid people and drug addicts would die on the street. Next generation would live in a utopia.
Mark Cuban@mcuban

Ok. Take government completely out of healthcare. No rules. No laws. No Medicare. No Medicaid. Hospitals, insurance companies, can do anything they want. What do they do ? If you were running any of the biggest insurance companies or hospitals, what would you do differently once gov was completely out of healthcare ?
