In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The passionate and loyal nation of Iran,
As you have been informed, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the presidents of Iran and America. On the path toward reaching this stage, the officials involved made great efforts out of concern and with good intentions. Of course, it was the American president who, out of desperation, used various forms of leverage to bring this about.
‼️In principle, I had a different view.
However, because of the commitment (insistence) that the honorable president, as head of the Supreme National Security Council, gave me on behalf of himself and the other members regarding the safeguarding of the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front, and because he explicitly accepted responsibility for it, I issued permission for it.
He also stated clearly that if the American side seeks to make excessive demands, they will not submit to them. From this moment, we; meaning you, the proud nation, and this humble servant; will be awaiting the fulfillment of the stated conditions.
However, it is obvious that the in-person negotiations that will take place in the future do not mean acceptance of the enemy’s view. We hope that the blessed prayers of our Master (may God Almighty hasten his reappearance) will bring all kinds of divine assistance and victories for the honorable nation of Iran.

The US is not paying Iran anything under this deal, and the people who keep saying this like @ChrisMurphyCT -- or, worse, who are saying that the US is paying Iran $300 billion, like @amyklobuchar -- are outright lying.
The money that flows to Iran's is Iran's money: that the US froze and refused to give back but will now release under the deal. The $300b is the maximum Iran can get. That's not from the US or from Americans, but from a private fund financed by the Persian Gulf dictatorships and their oligarchs.
These are just Democrats trying to prove to AIPAC and the pro-Israel lobby that they're more hawkish on Iran than Trump/Vance.

I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation linked to the strikes on oil depots in Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Gulf states, and beyond. This is a picture of Moscow now. Covered in thick black toxic clouds of smoke, raining oil on 14 million people with cancerous polluted air entering every lung. People breathing this. Animals breathing this. Trees breathing this. A humanitarian and environmental catastrophe. Bombing oil depots has serious environmental and humanitarian consequences. Hazardous "black rain" and "acidic rain" could pose serious health risks as toxic pollutants spread in the air, and contaminated the water—raise concerns of "wider regional pollution exposure", with the long-term effects of pollutants, affect respiratory health and contaminate water, that will affect people for years. Every bomb dropped on an oil depots is a time bomb for the people and the planet. This has moved beyond geopolitics. It's a crime against humanity.
