@UmiIrukaVT I’ve tried to live by the quote “Be curious, not judgmental” and it has helped quite a bit. Much better to spend my mental bandwidth having a conversation with someone and getting to know them rather than letter my preconceived notions guide my opinion of them beforehand.

I really appreciate the folks who engaged with me respectfully. I *loathe* echo chambers, and I work hard not to live in one. I actively invite people with different views and experiences to talk with me, because I think only seeking out “one right perspective” would be a disservice not just to my clients, but to me as a human being and my own growth. My fav vtubers, I don't agree with everything they say. I'm totally OK with that. I do believe divide in this county happened due to lack of wanting to leave echo chambers where there is vilifying/dehumanizing the other side. So genuinely, thank you. 🩷

It can be downright depressing to see how many medical professionals get on social media and say something like “I refuse to treat this group of people because of blah blah blah” it’s incredibly heartening to see the opposite from you!

I just watched a video cam of a man stabbing his wife and screaming for help. The police broke in, and the man was beating the baby. He held a knife to his throat. Officer shot the man. Both child and man were killed. The cop was utterly devastated. I can't imagine being a cop today. You can't save everybody. Even though you tried. Just wanted to say thank you to all who have served.
