Chloe got a cat in October. She named him Mungo. Mungo is, by Chloe's own description, the love of her life. This morning Chloe is concerned about Mungo. 7:30am - Breakfast. Chloe's: overnight oats. Mungo's: a plant-based cat food that arrived in compostable packaging and costs more per kilo than the salmon Chloe no longer buys. The packaging features a cartoon cat looking delighted. The real cat is looking at the bowl the way you look at a tax return. 8:00am - Mungo has not eaten. Chloe has read that cats can be fussy. This is true. It is also true that a cat is an obligate carnivore, which means its body cannot manufacture taurine, cannot convert plant precursors into the retinol it needs, and cannot make arachidonic acid from anything that ever grew in soil. The cat is not being difficult. The cat is being a cat. Chloe has not read this part. 10:00am - Chloe posts a photo of Mungo. Caption: "Raising him cruelty-free." Mungo, in the photo, stares directly into the lens with an expression several commenters describe as haunting. 1:00pm - Mungo catches a mouse in the garden and eats the entire thing with a focus and competence that suggests he has located, by instinct, the precise thing his bowl was missing. Chloe witnesses this. Chloe is upset, though she could not fully say on whose behalf. 4:00pm - Chloe googles "why is my cat losing weight on vegan food." She reads two paragraphs. She closes the tab. She opens a different tab and orders a more expensive plant-based cat food, this one endorsed by a nutritionist. The nutritionist is also vegan. The cat remains an obligate carnivore. None of the parties involved have consulted the cat. 8:00pm - Mungo sits at the window watching the garden where the mice are. Mungo knows what he is. Chloe is still working on it.

Why am I anonymous…? Well, have you heard of the Batley school teacher? I live near there. Very close actually. It’s Just outside Bradford and just before Dewsbury. And with the current rhetoric from the media and the government that anyone who votes Restore Britain is a racist I have to be pretty damn careful. They put me and lots of other patriots in danger by using this sort of language for people who simply want some normality back. Nobody of power went out to help that Batley teacher. Everyone got outraged online but nobody actually showed up to fend off the Islamic mob that went looking for blood. The authorities just sent him away and let the mob get their way. If for a second you think I’m going to risk that shit at my front door whilst my two daughters are kids you are sorely mistaken. I do not need to show my face to say my piece. If you don’t like my anon approach and you want to know who I am… help us sort the country out so I don’t have to be weary of Islamic mobs. Deal?

Can someone explain to me why it would be ‘necessary’ in any way to have a 3 foot knife in any public space? I’m not the most educated when it comes to the Sikh religion. And I’ve never really seen Sikh people as a problem or threat. They get on with their lives and usually leave us to get on with ours. They’ve stood by us in wars of the past. And like all sections of society they have some not so nice people amongst them. Anyway, I’ve started looking into it a little bit like everyone else because of Henry Nowak. I saw this post by a local Sikh group in Bradford. And I can’t think of a “Necessary” reason to have what is essentially a sword out in public. Anyone else want to give it a go?

If the Kirpan is purely symbolic as they are suggesting then it shouldn’t be functional - it could be plastic, fully blunted etc. They should not however be able to carry it in the form of a fully functioning knife - no matter if they don’t intent to ever use it

@Jessie_XL That said, why don’t they build a separate space for trans people? How much would it actually cost to put up a couple of changing rooms and toilets? Then everyone is safe everyone is respected everyone is happy.

@Jessie_XL It’s about the right to be safe. Those men that wear a dress just to use female spaces for their own agenda need to be kept out. Since it cannot be proven, unfortunately all have to stay out. No true trans would want a woman put into danger just so they can pee.

I don't understand the reasoning of those who want to change the law re using whichever toilets you want. Surely, if lockable cubicles in women's toilets and changing rooms ensure safety, privacy and dignity, then the same lockable cubicles would protect people in the men's?
