@JohnPetersonFW Not if they are a good financial advisor. Investment only or insurance sales could be reduced significantly. However, humans still want to talk to humans and plan. The human element will be the key.

Claude was able to take a pdf depreciation schedule with 180 assets from another software for a new client and fill in the 4562 import template to enter those assets in Drake. That is a huge win! And no PII was harmed! 2 hours saved!

One of the gym in pune started giving fresh hand towels to everyone before workout. Many people didn’t return it back. Then the gym started charging 20₹ deposit. People again didn’t return it back. Then gym started asking people “sir/ma’am please return the towel” this causes huge fights “haan nahi lekar ja rahe towel, do you wanna check my bag now??” Gym stopped this service haha. And you will be shocked to know how many people steal towels from hotels. Talk to any hotel chain person. Very common even in 5 stars. Strange habits.

Something funny happened at my Swimming pool that in a way is a reflection of our civic sense as well. I go to a municipal swimming pool in the heat of Mumbai, not those fancy shmancy ones that cost more than the defence budget of Bangladesh. So the crowd is mostly middle class. It's not expensive, but not cheap at 11k a year either. So the crowd that comes in is decently off economically It's a popular swimming pool which has peak occupancy rate which exceeds 150 people For those many people we have some 15 to 20 showers. Most of them enclosed Till Six months ago they had the usual shower heads, the ones you know you could reach by hand to tilt and twist. Normal right? Turns out people who came to the pool, used to steal those shower heads. As a result 50% of them used to be inoperational at any point in time. This used to cross massive crowding in those showers that worked. So the pool guys decided to alter the shower heads three months ago. Now all shower heads are more than 10 feet off the ground. You need to be Andre the Giant with a step ladder to reach it now. And pleased to say, all showers are now working. I criticize our govt officials a lot, but sometimes I really feel for them. The problems that they need to solve are so complex that they don't exist anywhere else on earth. Even a simple thing like a Shower head installation needs creativity and special attention. Where else on this planet do you need to account for Shower head theft? Where else would perfectly middle class people, steal shower heads? Truly out govt guys have their task cut out

If you’re a solo practitioner or just starting your firm and ready to land clients who aren’t related to you by blood or marriage, let me put you on to a fun, old-school strategy that works. Enter: the new homeowner campaign. I ran this for years and the ROI was chef’s kiss. I still have clients today who first met me through a piece of snail mail. Yes, actual mail. With a stamp. -Buy a new homeowner mailing list -Order business card-size magnets with your info -Write a friendly “Congrats on your new home” letter -Stuff the letter and magnet in the envelope and tell them to slap that magnet on the fridge -Use your name and business address as the return address so it feels local and personal -Drop it in the mail and let it work its magic Track your results. New homeowners love supporting local businesses, and you want to be the tax pro they think of every time they open that fridge. Happy Tax Season! #tax #TopOfMind #FirmManagement #Practitioners Btw, don't forget to register for AICPA ENGAGE this year and learn from fellow practitioners! It's going to be epic.

I know Donor Advised Funds are hot right now, and I love them and even have one myself But let me share that if you are someone who is giving NOW, a lot of the time it is much more efficient/convenient to just give appreciated shares/cash directly to the charity (assuming they can accept stock gifts, which most can), instead of giving to your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) first I know bunching is crucial with DAFs, and something I implement a lot for those who need to push multiple years of giving into one (but won’t donate it yet), but if you’re giving in the same year anyways, more what I am referring to Just something to keep in mind

.@elonmusk, what if we took @SpaceX public by merging it with Pershing Square SPARC Holdings, Ltd. (SPARC) a new form of acquisition company that was approved by the @SECGov. We could distribute SPARC special purpose acquisition rights (SPARs) to @Tesla shareholders so that all Tesla shareholders would have the right to invest in the SpaceX IPO, or they could choose to sell their SPARs to someone else. This would reward loyal Tesla shareholders with the opportunity to invest in SpaceX (or with cash for their SPARs), while totally democratizing the IPO process. In addition to receiving common stock in SpaceX, exercising SPAR holders would also receive Pershing Square SPARC Holdings II SPARs, which we could use to take @xai public at the time of your choosing. Pershing Square would due diligence on behalf of all shareholders and would commit $4 billion of capital to the IPO at a fixed price per share. SPARC has no underwriting fees, founder stock or shareholder warrants, and we would waive our right to receive SPARC sponsor warrants. The result would be an IPO without any underwriting fees or dilutive securities issued. @SpaceX would go public with a 100% common stock capital structure and it would not incur any transaction costs other than modest legal fees which SPARC would pay from its cash on hand. We could raise whatever amount of capital you would like by adjusting the exercise price of the SPARs. Assuming we issue 0.5 SPARs for each share of Tesla, there would be 1.723 billion SPARs outstanding including the 61.1 million SPARs that are already outstanding. Since one SPAR would be exercisable for two shares of SpaceX, the SPARs would be exercisable for 3.446 billion total SpaceX shares. So, if we set the SPAR exercise price at $11.03, SpaceX would raise $42.0 billion, $38 billion from the exercise of SPARs and $4 billion from Pershing Square, or if we set the SPAR exercise price at $42.0, SpaceX would raise $148.7 billion, $144.7 billion from the SPAR exercise and $4 billion from us. SPARC is indifferent to how much of the shares are primary versus secondary shares giving the company maximum flexibility. We could do due diligence and enter into a definitive agreement committing to the transaction within 45 days, at which point it would be certain that SpaceX would go public at a fixed valuation subject only to SEC approval of the merger proxy/registration statement. Our commitment to the transaction would not be subject to market conditions. We could start work right away and announce the transaction by mid- February. It only seems appropriate that the most innovative and efficient rocket company in the world should go public in the most innovative, efficient, and fairest-to-Tesla-shareholders manner possible. To Mars and beyond! What do you say?

One year ago, we took a two-week trip to Iowa for our daughter’s therapy. While we were there, we learned we had lost our home. We couldn’t return due to extreme mold and mycotoxin exposure, and everything inside it was gone. What followed was a cascade of events…blows heavy enough to break most families for a lifetime. The weight of it all felt unbearable. One year later, we’re living a life we once only dreamed about, in the best place we’ve ever been. Sometimes the hardest seasons carry the greatest blessings but you only see them after you’ve walked all the way through. If you’re in the middle of something painful right now, keep going. It will be worth it. There is a blessing waiting on the other side of your pain.
