#India #PraktikSpiritual #DewaHinduMahadev #Berdiri #Sindonews

I live a very private life. Away. Alone. Observing. Learning. I never get bored. Like ever. I love vibing alone. Just doing my shit. Writing. Reading old classics. Watching documentaries about ancient Egyptians. Listening to some low-fi, some classical. Cooking. Pacing around the room. Self-talk about meaning of life and all. Drink green tea on my balcony. Feel the calm. Go for a walk in the woods. Sit on random rock. Talk to a tree. Look at birds going back home. Come home. Focus on my new obsession (mechanical watchmakers). But bored... nah. Never.

@diminishism @Nlacombe_ No i don't think so, overconsumption is never good, duh. But if we going to argue about the what if of negatives/positive side then it's just a neverending argument, innit? ๐Ÿ˜… I talk A- issues and u bring B- as answer, thats why in any research there is a limit scope of topic

youโ€™re 22. you scroll 3 hours a day. it feels harmless at 28 you canโ€™t read an article without checking your phone twice per paragraph at 32 you donโ€™t understand why nothing you start ever finishes, youโ€™re still dreaming of this project you wanted to start. still no time at 40 youโ€™ve never finished a book in a decade. it all passed

Did you know that fewer than half of US adults read a book last year? In our academic system, it is normal to go from kindergarten to PhD without reading a single page of Homer, Plato, Augustine, Dante, or Milton. In any other age, such a person would not be considered educated at all. Since the state refuses to teach the Great Books of Western Civilization, we've started an independent group to the study them together. To preserve a culture, you must continually study the books and ideas that created it. Below are just some of the texts on our reading list! If this sounds like something you'd like to be part of, please join our group. We read a new classic text approx. every month and meet biweekly to discuss. We are studying the great works in dialogue with each other. Most of what we put out is free, but to support our efforts, please consider a paid subscription. It makes a huge difference to the time and resources we can dedicate to this project. We are entirely independent, funded only by the incredible members of this community. Paid members get: - Live book club discussions (biweekly) - Essays to guide you through the books we're reading - Access to the community chat room - The full archive of discussions and essays - Ability to vote on what we read next... Join us!

Rereading Dostoevsky for the third time. He understood human suffering better than any psychologist I've read. Because I believe psychologists observe suffering. Dostoevsky lived inside it. Faced a firing squad. Survived. Spent four years in a Siberian prison camp. Gambled everything away. Loved people who destroyed him. And wrote it all down. As fiction. Because in fiction you can say the truth. The kind of truth that if you say it in open, people will think you're crazy. Read him if you haven't. Reread him if you have. He will show you parts of yourself you didn't know existed.
