Among engines and steel, we still chose culture.
Among grease, noise, and survival, we still chose identity.
This photo is more than a picture — it is Lagos Igbo spirit in its rawest form. A generation carrying tradition into places nobody expected it to survive. In the middle of hustle, chaos, and everyday struggle, we still tied our wrappers, wore our red caps, spoke our language, and showed up proudly as Ndi Igbo.
The backdrop may be machinery, but the real engine here is the people.
Young men and women refusing to let culture fade.
Refusing to forget where they come from.
Refusing to be disconnected from home, even while building life in Lagos.
This is what resilience looks like.
This is what identity looks like.
This is what community looks like.
From the markets to the streets, from workshops to waterfronts, the Igbo spirit adapts, survives, and shines anywhere it goes.
We are not just preserving culture.
We are living it loudly.
