A great reminder from Dr. Eric Cash @dormanstrength Be athlete-specific, not sport-specific. High school athletes already get plenty of sport-specific work through practices and competition. The weight room should build better athletes—stronger, faster, more powerful, and more resilient. Also, loved hearing how Eric and a local club S&C coach communicate so they don't duplicate training. No ego. No double-dipping. Just doing what's best for the athlete. And one lesson every coach should remember: Never lie to a recruiter or scout. Your credibility matters. If you exaggerate for one athlete, you hurt the next athlete who comes through your program. The best compliment a high school strength coach can receive? When former athletes arrive at college and text: "Coach, we were fully prepared for this." Parents and athletes should know there are outstanding strength coaches working in high schools across the country right now. Full convo out now: youtube.com/watch?v=PSVBLB… @NHSSCA_SC @nhssca_us
