Hi, everyone! My name is Din. I just want to build some productivity apps and record that journey. I'm a normal developer building alone — no team, no funding, no clue if this will work. The first app I decide to build is Retinly — a Mac app for screen recordings with stunning automatic zooms. It will helps me: ✅ Ship cleaner product demos for my future apps ✅ Show off new feature updates without ugly cursor trails ✅ Record tutorials that people actually want to watch Users right now: 0. this workout app did 20k downloads and $40k revenue last month 💪 and the onboarding is surprisingly refreshing 👀 onboarding: -immediately explains its training philosophy -shows your activity level with simple visuals -asks users to connect Apple Health -offers a “just for you” 50% off it builds a plan around your body instead of making your body fit the plan

How much do you guys think I should sell this app for?

Working on some onboarding polish. ✨ One thing I noticed: adding a subtle 3D frame (pitch, yaw, and a matching background gradient) makes an app demo feel much more polished. Tried it with the Forest onboarding flow and exported it in Retinly. Curious if you'd prefer this over a flat screen recording.

Today's progress: Built a barcode scanner for Oren that uses the Dynamic Island while scanning books. Probably one of those features most people won't consciously notice. But they'll definitely feel the difference. 👇

Spent way longer than expected fixing a bug today. Every time I rotated the device while recording, the touch indicator got stuck for exactly one frame. Just one frame. Bugs like this make you question your entire rendering pipeline. 😅

UI/UX Designers, you need to see this. I just discovered a tool called HyperDesign, and it’s one of the easiest ways to extract a complete design system from any website. Just paste a URL, and it generates a DESIGN.md file with the site’s colors, typography, spacing, and UI components all extracted visually. Bookmark it; you will love it 💜

My app hit $1.8k/m today. My ads are currently $8.68 CPA. That's ~3x ROAS. I'm now scaling: $100 to $150 a day. This is it fellas, the big leagues. $5k/m by the time I quit my job.
