Nasdaq comes under pressure, especially the high-beta AI names, as the “higher for longer” narrative strengthens. The dollar firms up across the board. US 10-year yields push higher and retest recent highs. Bitcoin sells off as liquidity expectations deteriorate. 2⃣. Neutral Hold (15%) A balanced, data-dependent hold with no strong hawkish or dovish tilt. Nasdaq stays soft and range-bound, no real relief rally. Dollar and 10-year yields mostly chop sideways, waiting for the next inflation or labor data. Bitcoin lacks direction and trades sideways with low conviction. Markets essentially stay in “wait and see” mode. 3⃣. Dovish Hold (10%) Rates unchanged, but the tone softens, clear openness to cuts if data cooperates. Nasdaq stages a sharp bounce as rate-cut hopes return. The dollar weakens. US 10-year yields drop as the market prices in easier policy. Bitcoin rallies strongly, crypto remains one of the highest-beta plays on falling rates. 4⃣. Surprise Hike (25%) An unexpected 25bp hike that catches the market offside. Nasdaq risks a cascade-style selloff as leveraged positioning gets hit. The dollar spikes hard. US yields jump, with the front end (2-year) moving the most and the curve flattening. Bitcoin drops sharply as risk assets reprice higher rates and tighter liquidity. ➡️ These are just my base-case reactions for the key assets. Position sizing and timing still matter more than the scenario itself.
