George's family is never ever going to get the copyright of the songs George wrote under his Northern Songs contract.
The fact that John, Paul and Brian were ok with doing that to him (and Ringo) is always going to remain a dark spot for me.
it's actually so funny how in 1967 everything was rainbows and psychedelia and then in '68-69 every band in the world goes sepia toned and puts out an album called like, 'jim barley & sons derbyshire music co.'
@EventIterator@IranArmystan_ “Terrorize the world” and it’s just a country fighting against warships sent from the country that murdered it’s senior leadership a bunch of little girls unprovoked during negotiations, 40 years after said country orchestrated a coup against their democratically elected leader
@hardlyasoul@COUNTRY_MOUSE66 Unfortunately, the Beatles couldn't play it at all, without help from talented musicians.
as a Grateful Dead fan who can listen to and/or watch at least 50 versions of damn near everyone of their songs, trust me, you are missing out, as a fan.
@_doyliemon@hardlyasoul@COUNTRY_MOUSE66 “I know” after having your entire first point fall apart lol. Also “over-abundance of studio musicians” is really funny lol. You don’t know shit about fuck and it’s so entertaining to watch you pretend like you do.
@hardlyasoul@COUNTRY_MOUSE66 I know. More reason why I think the Beatles are over rated. Their "supposedly" superior period of music was never played live and featured an over-abundance of studio musicians.
Not only were their latter years songs never played live by the Beatles, they couldn't be played live.
Taylor Swift praises sombr to NYT:
“I’m a massive sombr fan, of his songwriting. And his lyrics are so intensely confessional. ‘I don’t want another man’s child to have the eyes of the girl I can’t forget.’ Are you kidding me? Having a male artist say stuff like that is really good for the cause of women to be able to say stuff. If there’s any way we can make confessional songwriting a little bit more of something that isn’t, like, people take that as like you were being messy. You have to be fair to everyone then.”
if we are talking about pure sales, The Beatles are #1 and it is not even close
MJ was more famous than any one Beatle without a doubt, but peak Beatles arguably had comparable attention (their Ed Sullivan performance had more viewers than MJ’s Super Bowl)
both are at the top
@flintarmstrong Let me guess? Driver has a long rap sheet and liberal judges kept letting him out of jail?
I am so sorry for your loss. We don’t have to live like this.
quiero oir un album lleno de odio, no frustracion o impotencia o ansiedad o todas esas weas justificables, quiero oir puro odio vengativo y doloroso hecho album
