@Arkzil @arfa2706 The "open world" itself is not a weakness. Repetitive dungeons are a weakness, underwhelming rewards for exploring are a weakness, and both are obviously related to the open world, but saying the open world is a problem is like saying everything but the combat and story was bad

@arfa2706 Blind fanboys like you truly are a plague. Nobody argues that Elden Ring is a very good game, but it should not be that hard to recognize that it has SOME weaknesses, the open world being the main one. Go back in the game and actually explore side dungeons for once.

@dirtydan591 @Irenicus67 This is a good point! :-) I think a better way I could have said this would have been; you do have to push and be aggressive, because you can’t just roll away from bosses forever. You meet Malenia, what, 50 hours in? 70? I think at that point it’s fair to expect more aggression.

@zclaw22 @Irenicus67 The game does not spell that out lmao, malenia is one of the only main bosses you can consistently stun, and literally every boss in the game is most intuitively beat by attacking after their combos end. There are lots of openings within combos but that is more advanced

@Irenicus67 Well said! It feels like the game spells this out so clearly: attack chains will continue until YOU interrupt them! The boss is trying to kill you, there isn’t going to be a big red “attack me now!” button. What is this, Assassins Creed Valhalla? You have to be aggressive!
