Sheel, here are a couple of notes to educate a wilful ignorant:
1) Remittances via stablecoins by immigrants is primarily focused to Latin America and Africa, where local cash-outs are NOT required and people spend it directly at stores and whatnot.
2) India is a retarded country with a boomer Finance minister who is scared of every new technology, so India has a long way to catch up. Stablecoins will take decades to enter India and it’s not a big deal if it doesn’t, markets are better elsewhere.
3) Just because you pay high fees for sending FIAT to your granny in Mumbai doesn’t mean that there’s no market for Stablecoins; your situation isn’t the world’s situation.
4) 2nd, 3rd & 4th world countries are rapidly adopting stablecoins including neobank startups that accept stables at a super fraction of what a traditional bank would take.
4.1) Yes the costs are 0 and in some cases, nearly 0.
5) Businesses from 2nd, 3rd & 4th world countries are accepting stables directly through platforms like Kast and more.
6) Stablecoin adoption has just started; it is extremely immature to discard its potential just because India has retarded policies towards blockchain tech.

How can stablecoins reduce remittance fees to zero? makes no sense to me whatsoever. The bulk of remittances $ is migrant workers sending money to family, from US->Mexico, US->India, Gulf->India Stablecoins can make the money-movement leg much cheaper/near-zero but that isn't the bulk of the cost! You still need cash-out, FX, compliance/KYC, fraud controls, customer support, and distribution. When I send money to my cousin in a village in India, there is nothing he can do with USDC. He needs to get the money out into INR and that last mile is where most of the cost lies. Stablecoins can make remittances much cheaper but nowhere near zero.
