@NC_Governor NC will pay for Medicaid by having unpaid medical bills and a rise in premiums which is how this works. Don't be fooled

@DrugChannels @C_Garthwaite That on top of money involved in politics and raising prices on established drugs to enhance investor portfolios of course. Being exploited by PBMs and going along for the ride to ensure they have a seat at the table doesn't help

@DrugChannels @C_Garthwaite Kind of hard after the opioid crisis and maybe if "bad Apples" were called out by peers there would be a level of understanding. That will tarnish the industry for a while.

Gov. Cooper has proclaimed November as American Indian Heritage Month. We’re grateful for North Carolina’s American Indians and all of the contributions they’ve made to our state.

Combat medics take a pledge to preserve human life – friend and foe. Forty years ago, I made a pledge to preserve life, alleviate suffering and ensure access to emergency medical care. This marks the anniversary when that pledge was first put to the test. The adventure continues!

The gaps in care are so abundantly clear, which is why integrating pharmacists as eligible care providers in Medicaid and Medicare is essential public health policy.

@DanRehrauer @DrugChannels @NPLB_org @SenSaraGelser I guess my mind goes to drugs due to insulin being discussed. It's not an easy button answer to the problem but legislation is slow to catch up to the amount of fraud being conducted. The answer to this may be states follow #Ohio and sue and set up their own #PBM and cut the rest

@jcubanski @larry_levitt Little sad the members of the advisory committee at the FDA have resigned since most members voted against the approval due to lack of confidence in the drug. Yay @US_FDA

It is not hyperbole to say that this new #Alzheimer's drug could be a real budget-buster for Medicare. But in case there is any question about it, spending on Aduhelm will have no effect on Medicare trust fund solvency, since the drug is covered under Part B, not Part A.
Larry Levitt@larry_levitt

The new Alzheimer's drug could have an enormous effect on Medicare spending, Part B premiums, supplemental insurance premiums, and patient out-of-pocket costs. And, it may not even work. @tricia_neuman @jcubanski kff.org/medicare/issue…

@DrugChannels Biggest issue to date is that schools do not teach the business of pharmacy They are in the business of making pharmacists. Degree equals revenue. We need to hold schools accountable to teach the future of the profession vs standards they are accountable for only. #insidereport

@NikkiFried Let's make a state PBM so our state can stop losing money to large corporations who take advantage of patients and create there own pricing of drugs while exploiting manufacturers at the same time. That would be huge @pharmacists @DrugChannels

@alexanderterry @A_Ciaccia Let’s start with controlling insurance companies and incentivizing care. Next let’s focus on setting Medicare pricing standards on drugs.

@A_Ciaccia @disruptivepharm The only way to solve American healthcare is the requisitioning and nationalizing of all private hospitals and healthcare providers. Publicly owned and publicly operated healthcare, free at the point of use. Fully funded, transparent and accountable to local communities.

@drjohnwhyte Does it make sense that most health professionals don’t get taught about intracellular micronutrient testing which identify these lots nutrients on a greater scale than the normal extracellular tests? We need to overhaul education in health programs to prevent not treat symptoms
