@DadInvest @fed_speak People who manage billions at my shop don’t have offices anymore. There are barely enough conference rooms for someone to duck in for a personal call. It’s soul crushing compared to 20 years ago

100%. We used to have bagels on Friday, but the guy who eventually became National CEO of our LoB killed that in his short stint in our office and it never came back. I bring scratch paper and pens from home because I’m not empowered to put any costs on our cost center. A guy died on the first day of his company sabbatical last year and they didn’t even acknowledge it. It’s disgustingly soulless in corporate America these days.

@dlharrell Citadel might be different because KG actually sees Miami as the future, not NYC. Most of his firepower going south

This is the expected take every time a story like this drops. Here's what's missing /ignored 1) JPM has been expanding like mad in NYC. Their total commitment (owned + leased) is now kissing 6Msf 2) Apollo just leased another 100K Sf in Manhattan last spring 3) Amex is going to be owner and sole occupier of 2wtc - 2M sf Finance's commitment to New York is probably at a 10-year high, and the prime office market is totalmente loco

"TX & FL are known for their low tax rates & conservative, pro-business politicians. Such firms as Citadel & Elliott Management have relocated at least a co-headquarters to Florida. Large US banks such as Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan have built big operations in the Dallas area."

23.5% of this fund-of-funds (Cliffwater’s Cascade Private Capital Fund, CPEFX) is invested in - drumroll, please — Other funds-of-funds. Which makes it a fund-of-funds-of-funds (!!) The largest position (19%) is an investment in one such fund-of-funds, Pathway Select Fund LP. For this Pathway fund, CPEFX is the largest shareholder ($525M fund, CPEFX total commitment is $300M) What’s inside? No idea. Nearly every asset in this fund is a Regulation D vehicle, which means there are no public filings. Interestingly, the underlying investments have investor qualification requirements, but the Cliffwater fund itself does not — a truly “democratized” offering (one just needs to find a large enough RIA, as firm minimum is $25M) How did the fund generate a 30%+ return last year, and what will it cost you to invest?? Read the case study here. It’s a good one (if I say so myself): accreditedinsight.com/p/cliffwaters-…

I'm old enough to remember when Tebow first blew up at Florida. Always thought he had to have been hiding some big secret bc there's just no way anybody is really that good of a person. 20 years later he is the only guy I can think of who was built up by the media to be a saint and has actually lived up to it. Also has a higher playoff passer rating than Tom Brady.
Insane Clips@StreetFightsHQ

Tim Tebow hosted a red carpet event called 'Night to Shine' to celebrate and uplift individuals with special needs ❤️

The best thing about having your hormones right: Hangovers are back to where they were when you were 20. You can have wine and drinks with friends and dance with your wife to a band without hating yourself for a few days.

@sethciasulli Seems like nobody hit it since Nolf and instead stay inverted and hold a foot until stalemate. Is it the danger of a scissoring the head call?

Viginia Tech's Collin Gaj entered the NCAA tournament as the 4 seed after a really nice showing at ACC's and well, the entire season if I'm being honest. In his path to become an All-American stood Cornell's Jaxon Joy. Collin uses a version of the Win-Dixie against Joy that's different from the one Jason Nolf popularized, and in my opinion, is stronger and more controlled, but you'll have to watch until the end of the video to see what I'm talking about. I won't be giving any tips on how to defend what he does. Nope. Good luck. A Lehigh Valley guy, one of my long-time students, I wanted to detail at least one of his matches at NCAA's and what more fitting than this one. Always proud of my dudes, another All-American in the book!

Based on the number of memes/GIFs per paragraph, I'd assume @petition is run by a bunch of Boomers trying to come across as cool and trendy. Loving the content, but boy, it’s tough to stay focused while reading.

There are a lot of salacious articles on private credit. The most egregious are around liquidity in interval funds. Interval funds are doing exactly what they said they would do, which is to provide ~5% fund level liquidity per quarter. They can easily do this for several reasons: - most funds hold a small amount of liquid credit - most funds have small lines of credit - the funds naturally throw off yields (8-10%) -most important- the avg loan maturity is typically around 4 years meaning about 25% of the fund is liquid in any 12m period This is simply a story of investors all wanting liquidity at the same time and not a broken structure. They are rationally looking at much larger discounts on listed BDCs and wanting to swap out exposure.
