The UK does NOT invest their money 77% of the UK does not put their money to work outside of their pensions… The whole country is financially illiterate.

@DividendDrip It's good to set intermediate targets on the way to the big goal.

My first goal was to get to £100 Passive annual dividend’s excepted. Small goal yes, but it’s the celebration of these small goals that compound over time. This leads into motivation, sense of achievement and pushes you to the next ‘goal’ I’m approaching this, with 24% away.

@DreamDividend I agree that dividend income is the holy grail. The ultimate passive income.

Dividend income is the holy grail. It comes in good times and bad. It’s the income that lasts and lasts - consistent. Compounding is the 8th wonder of the world. You can become wealthy, but it takes time and patience. As with the others, you need to pick the steady ones. Dividend growth with large cap and/or broad indices are the best for consistency and diversification. Don’t sleep on dividend investing. It might just safe your life one day.

Added a small amount to Murray Income Trust $MUT.L. It's a dividend hero investment trust that's raised dividends consecutively for over 50 years. It's down 3 consecutive weeks from a high of 989p, so I thought it was worth a purchase.

@Liathetrader DCA into dividend paying stocks. That'll do me fine.

This buy-and-hold crowd will not do well next year. I wrote about it in January. People who started investing then, and those starting now, will have a hard time. We're headed for a big mess. Lost decade? Bear market? You must trade and be selective. This is a trading environment, not an investing environment.

Bank of England interest rate decision day. It won't go down, but I'm hoping it doesn't go up. I still have a mortgage to pay!

@HighYieldHustle I'm now holding several high yield etf's for that very reason.

When opportunities in the market pop up everyday the problem becomes finding the cash to deploy. High yield ETFs are a game changer. They allow you to have constant cashflow to deploy as you see fit.

I've been investing in stocks for about the last 8 years. Stocks won't give me the freedom that real estate will.
