Although Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes against children had been reported to the FBI in 1996, the first law enforcement agency to earnestly investigate Epstein was the Palm Beach Police Department (PBPD), starting in 2005. The PBPD compiled the statements of five minors who had been molested by Epstein. The PBPD also collected the statements of several witnesses who corroborated the minors’ claims, and the department was aware of additional victims who had allegedly been molested by Epstein. The PBPD drew up an arrest warrant charging Epstein with one count of lewd and lascivious molestation and four counts of unwanted sexual activity with a minor. This is just the tip of the iceberg. According to HuffPost's Jennifer Bendery, the Defense Department has invited over 3,500 employees to a Good Friday service at the Pentagon Chapel "except it’s only for Protestants, not Catholics." She obtained an email sent out by Air Force leadership, which laid out the outrageous abuse of religious liberty in plain text. “Just a friendly reminder: There will be a Protestant Service (No Catholic Mass) for Good Friday today at the Pentagon Chapel,” it reads. “I guess so the Catholics know their kind ain’t welcome. When Bendery reached out to the Pentagon, a spokesperson confirmed that there will not be another, separate service for Catholics in the Pentagon chapel today. This one isn't hard to puzzle out. The Christian Nationalist movement that Hegseth is part of is Evangelical to its core. They view Catholics with something between suspicion and outright hostility. Hegseth previously invited pastor Doug Wilson to lead a prayer service at the Pentagon. Wilson has called for a Christian theocracy in America, suggested that "biblical slavery" might come back under that theocracy, and called for banning Catholic processions. In this Evangelical vision of a Christian America, Catholic cathedrals are torn down and replaced with golden statues of Trump holding the cross. This animosity towards Catholics is also rooted in backlash against Pope Leo XIV's outspoken anti-MAGA sentiments. He has repeatedly condemned the cruel treatment of migrants as well as Trump's illegal, bloody Iran War. Many Republicans now view Leo and by extension all Catholics as an enemy. BREAKING: Lindsey Graham didn’t just vote for “a judge.” He cast the deciding vote to confirm a Biden nominee who is now handing down shockingly lenient sentences to child predators. Judge Anne Traum, confirmed 49–47 with Graham breaking from Republicans and siding with Democrats, just sentenced William Alan Barragan Diaz to the bare minimum: 5 years in prison. Let that sink in. William is a registered sex offender who possessed over 6,200 images and 400+ videos of child sexual abuse material, Federal prosecutors pushed for 151 months (over 12 years) and lifetime supervision. Instead, the judge Graham put on the bench gave this monster the lowest possible sentence. And this wasn’t an isolated case. Earlier this year, the same judge sentenced another offender who viewed explicit material involving infants to essentially time served… just 3 days in custody. Three days. This is the real-world consequence of Lindsey Graham’s decisions in Washington. He didn’t have to vote for this nominee. He chose to. And his vote made the difference. South Carolina deserves a Senator who uses their vote to protect families, not empower judges who hand out wrist slaps for horrific crimes against children. On June 9th, voters have a choice.

What I love more than anything about Bondi's firing is that she covered up every heinous action for the government, completely destroyed her own reputation, became universally reviled and was still catapulted out of office. Let this be a lesson. You can be a Joe Kent or a Bondi.
