Can’t fault the endeavour/desire from Gyokeres. And fair play to him for scoring more in 2026. But the reality is that from the get-go, the team is limited with him leading the line as the ball doesn’t stick. The very best teams throughout football contain a 9 who can make it stick. We need Kai there from the off. Kai will miss sitters. He will frustrate. We know this. But the dynamics function better with him present at CF.

All anyone wants to hear is that the manager is a bum. If you offer any other analysis than "the manager is a bum" on this website, you will be shouted down. But maybe the biggest issue for the manager is the way he (and the club) have approached attacking recruitment. The talent level of our attack is simply nowhere near what you see at other big clubs. My belief is very low right now. Yesterday hurt and City have the momentum. There is space for both Odegaard and Eze in this team. Both playing centrally with one holder, Eze of the left with Ode in the middle etc. We all want to see the best of both of them and hopefully we’ll see them playing together more often.

@RohanJivanAFC We need a 200mn to fix an entire forward line. Look at united, they bought Mbeumo, Sesko and Cunha all in one window. They are scoring way more goals. Similarly we need to get in PL proven players. We missed the trick by not signing Mbeumo and Semenyo.

I’ve always felt that Mikel Arteta’s biggest weakness tactically is balancing the frontline. He’s elite in so many areas, but this is something he’s not consistently got right.
