I wrote Buildit so that anyone looking to build in India knows about the challenges and perhaps that will encourage more people to not be afraid and start up. India needs more builders.
Deepinder Goyal@deepigoyal

A book about Blinkit, now on Blinkit. I have no idea how @albinder finds time for writing books alongside all that he has to do, but this is an excellent read about the challenges of starting up, building, breaking, and rebuilding for retail in India. A few hundred signed copies available on Blinkit.

HarperCollins@HarperCollinsIN

In building Blinkit, @albinder Singh Dhindsa reshaped how Indians get what they need every day, redefining consumer expectations in the process—but the decade it took was anything but predictable. Buildit is his sharp, unfiltered account of navigating India's complex reality, making high-stakes decisions, and building systems where none existed. A founder’s candid story and an essential read for anyone trying to build and scale in India. Out April 15. Available wherever books are sold. #READWithHarperCollins

The @FeedingIndia Concert is coming to two cities for the first time - Mumbai and Delhi. And this year, Shakira takes the stage. When we started thinking about who could carry a moment this big, for a cause this important, she was the name that kept coming up. Her music doesn’t belong to one generation or one geography, it belongs to everyone. That’s exactly the energy @FeedingIndia India needs. Because the goal was never just to put on a great show. At @district_india , we believe live entertainment has the power to bring an entire country together, and there’s no bigger mission to rally behind than ending malnutrition in India. Two cities. One artist who transcends borders. And a cause that deserves every bit of this spotlight. link.district.in/DSTRKT/6rhd2iaw

This week, Blinkit's doctor@store service crossed 100,000 consultations within six months of launch. This is a free doctor consultation and medical treatment service available to all our delivery partners, in-store teams and their families. In addition to providing First Contact to organised healthcare, the team of doctors and nurses also do training sessions on preventing and managing lifestyle diseases. This service is in addition to the health insurance benefits that we already provide. A big thank you to the team of over 100 doctors, nurses and ambulance pilots who are the backbone of this service in 11 cities, covering over 300,000 delivery partners, 80,000 store team members and their families. We are learning from this service and hope to provide more comprehensive and higher quality healthcare to everyone working on the ground in the Eternal ecosystem.

If you used to work at Zomato, whether you chose to move on, or I was the one who asked you to leave, this is for you. I know that for many of you, Zomato didn't have the environment, or the leadership you needed at the time. But I know for sure, that you loved being at Zomato, and it is quite possible that you never felt like home anywhere else since you left. We have over four hundred people at Eternal today in their second or third stints. Many of them are doing their best work now. Maybe because they've grown, but also because the company has grown. We are more organised, a little less chaotic, and hopefully, I've learned a few things along the way too. If you haven't reached out because you think the door is closed, or because you think I'm holding onto the past, I'm not. I want you back. There is so much to build at Eternal. We are today, a family of companies. Zomato, Blinkit Quick-Commerce, Blinkit Ambulances, District, Hyperpure, Nugget, and Feeding India. We need people who already know what good looks like here, and who care enough to fight for it. There is no better person for that than someone who has been here, left, grown, and wants to come back. You might say that Eternal is not going to be the same, because I am not the CEO anymore. But ask yourself a question. Did titles ever matter at Eternal? I am still very much here, and I'd love for you to be a part of this next phase of Eternal. If you feel like you have unfinished business here, please don't overthink it. Write to me at back@eternal.com. The Gurgaon pollution is still a bug, but being at Eternal is the feature. Let's talk and find a role that fits your life as it is today.

India holds 3,000+ years of living history - yet we often look abroad before looking around. Today, District users can book tickets to 150+ monuments and museums across 33 cities - from the soaring minarets of Qutub Minar to the ancient rock-cut sanctuaries of the Elephanta Caves to the timeless marble of the Taj Mahal - centuries of history etched into stone. Sometimes going out isn’t about the new, but rediscovering what’s always been here. 🇮🇳✨ link.district.in/DSTRKT/upn3gigu

Today, we’re launching the NCMC Bharat Yatra Card on Blinkit. It's a ₹50, zero-KYC, RuPay powered card by @PineLabs which supports instant UPI top ups and also eliminates the need for city specific transport cards. This is a meaningful step in enabling public transport usage (metro and buses) across different cities in India. We've started deliveries in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.

Thank you to the @Amul_Coop team on another year of great partnership. Back today at the Amul facility in Anand exactly a year later. As has become ritual now, we tasted some great food, learned a lot and took the customary picture outside Dr. Kurien's garage.

Spent a cold morning with very warm farmers who showed me all the progress happening in regenerative and organic farming. At Blinkit, we are investing behind building sustainable supply chains for produce that is good for us and good for the soil. You can already find a lot of certified organic products on the app, which are regularly tested - you can even find test reports on the app. In future, we hope to provide the kind of boost that can help regenerative farming and organic farming become the norm. Time for some fresh palak from the farm.

What @raghav_chadha has failed to mention is that the platform companies have been in conversation with the Central Govt and various state govts (across party lines) for the past several years for enacting fair rules for gig worker welfare. I have personally spoken to govt officials and ministers and given inputs. Some states have already passed laws around this. Eternal has been supportive and our inputs have been received by well intentioned governments that want growth and gig worker welfare both. This has been an ongoing effort for five years now. Mr. Chadha has come late to the party and without trying to understand the situation and without adding anything constructive to the conversation has merely tried to cause disruption and seek attention for himself on social media. He is trying to jump on the bandwagon and claim credit. We support the Central Govt and are thankful for their leadership in this matter we are also supportive and appreciative of all the state governments that have taken initiatives around this. We have worked with all of them. We are and always will follow the law. In fact for us the law is merely the minimum to be adhered to
Raghav Chadha@raghav_chadha

Congratulations to all Gig Workers and Delivery Partners. There is good news for you. Central Government’s draft Social Security Rules are the first step towards recognition, protection and dignity for your work. Even though the Platforms (Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, etc.) chose not to listen to your voices, the people of this country and the government did. This is a small win, but an important win.

A year ago on this day, we started the Blinkit Ambulance service in Gurugram with a simple intent - to see if we could make emergency medical help reach people faster, when every minute counts. It was uncomfortable territory. Emergency care is complex, sometimes outcomes are unforgiving, and there’s very little margin for error. And training people to make the right calls under pressure is a long, deliberate process. Over the last year, this is what that effort has grown into: • Our ambulance team has handled 4,200+ cases out of which 1,810 were time sensitive medical emergencies • We now operate 25 ambulances across most of Gurugram & Manesar, and some parts of Delhi (Lajpat Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Patel Nagar, Dwarka, Greater Kailash) • Our ambulances reached the patients within 10 minutes, 87% of the time • We have trained and deployed 70 paramedics from the Blinkit Academy in our ambulances All of this without charging any money from the families that needed this service. But the work behind these numbers matters more than the numbers themselves. We learned that we would have to invest massively in training paramedics. It requires infrastructure, investment, and constant review, especially when decisions need to be made in seconds, often with incomplete information. We also learned that expanding responsibly sometimes means saying no - to moving too fast and to launching areas or cities before systems are ready. We’re still early in this journey. We’ll keep expanding carefully, investing deeply in training, and work towards building a world class ambulance service. Grateful to the teams on the ground who carry this responsibility every day 💛
Albinder Dhindsa@albinder

Ambulance in 10 minutes. We are taking our first step towards solving the problem of providing quick and reliable ambulance service in our cities. The first five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram starting today. As we expand the service to more areas, you will start seeing an option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the @letsblinkit app. Some more info- • Our ambulances are equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), stretcher, monitor, suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections. • Each ambulance has a paramedic, an assistant and a trained driver to make sure we are able to deliver the highest quality of service in time of need. • Profit is not a goal here. We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long term. • We are carefully scaling this service up, as it is both important and new to us. Our aim is to expand to all major cities over the next two years. Let's do our bit and make way for an ambulance always. You never know when you may save a life.

Zomato and Blinkit delivered at a record pace yesterday, unaffected by calls for strikes that many of us heard over the past few days. Support from local law enforcement helped keep the small number of miscreants in check, enabling 4.5 lakh+ delivery partners across both platforms to deliver more than 75 lakh orders (all-time high) to over 63 lakh customers during the day. This happened without any additional incentives for delivery partners - NYE does see higher incentives than usual days and yesterday was no different than the past NYE days. I am grateful to local authorities across the country and to our teams on the ground for clear enforcement and swift coordination. Most importantly, thank you to our delivery partners who showed up despite intimidation, stood their ground, and chose honest work and progress. One thought for everyone: if a system were fundamentally unfair, it would not consistently attract and retain so many people who choose to work within it. Please don’t get swept up by narratives pushed by vested interests. The gig economy is one of India’s largest organised job creation engines, and its real impact will compound over time, when delivery partners’ children, supported by stable incomes and education, enter the workforce and help transform our country at scale.

New update on Blinkit: You can now add more items after ordering. Many of you asked for this, and we’ve now made it possible to include more items while your order is being packed. There’s no additional delivery charge, and you won’t need to place a second order just because you missed something. Please share your feedback with me if you think we can make it better.

A big thank you to @DelhiPolice for providing the facilities to station the Blinkit Ambulance at Malviya Nagar and Lajpat Nagar Police Stations, making urgent medical assistance more accessible. The service can be accessed from the Blinkit app and will be free of cost. We’ll be adding more police stations across the city, strengthening our joint effort to support faster emergency response.
