Is there a better example of how voters prize symbolism over policy than what happened in Missouri? A ballot initiative to raise the minimum wage and requite employers to provide paid sick leave passed 58-42.
Meanwhile, Harris, who supports both policies, got 40% of the vote.

In general, you should trust polling averages over outliers, but be cognizant of the *possibility* that the outlier may be picking up on a late trend. I recommend doing the same in this case.
