Fiddling with Figma prototyping, I realized I might very well draw it all in Framer, link things together, do the desired animations, and my client could use something that’s much-much closer to the real app. I think you have a massive oportunity there.

Inter version 4.0 → rsms.me/inter/ After two years of work on a new version of Inter, I'm so proud that it's finally released. (It's been in beta for the past year) The changes are vast. Most notably there are six additional "Display" designs for large delicious type

@rsms @figma They can repro the issue & now I got this: "…engineering team is aware of this issue, where a Google font installed locally is not shown under the "Installed by you" font list. This is a long-standing bug, and at this time, we do not have an estimated timeline for a resolution."

@djmarke @figma Here's what I see in a new file. I'm on a regular "Pro" plan. In addition to OpenType features, a quick test to see if you are using 4.0 is tabular numbers where all weights have the same advance width (wasn't the case with 3.x) I'd contact Figma customer support if I were you

@djmarke @figma If you’re part of a Figma Organization check if there’s an Inter version uploaded for the org. It will override any local fonts in that case

@figma Are there any tricks (or a guide) how to transition existing Variants to Props without breaking the instances? Boolean properties precisely. Example case: reducing amount of variants of a button component that has an extra icon as an option.

@stroughtonsmith Some stuff on Mac that caught eye: — Shouldn’t the ▶️ icon on artwork change to ⏸ while station is playing? — No super clear indication which channel is playing (grid view) All in all, Broadcasts is probably my app-of-the-year. Nicely done and one of the most used apps for me.

@stroughtonsmith — Not having to tap on group before seeing the stations would be a big win. But the screenshot looks proming :) — Sometimes the station artwork doesn’t show up, but that’s totally random — Grid view for stations would be nice, but I suppose Carplay API doesn’t have such thing

So it turns out that Google Chrome was making everything on my computer slow *even when it wasn’t running*, because it installs something called Keystone which is basically malware. I made a website because this shouldn’t happen: chromeisbad.com

@skuwamoto @figmadesign - Uneven paddings in Auto Layout - Quick way for inserting symbols (Sketch Runner style, from Team Libraries). Or an API support for possible plugin - An idea which is raw, but: possibly allowing Auto Layout features to be enabled in Symbol’s instance as-well (can share usecases)
