I dare you. “D.C. and D.C. is looking beautiful. The fountains are almost all open. We had 28 of them, and we have one in particular, a very long lake, we call it. They're reflecting lake between the Lincoln Monument. Nobody's ever seen anything like it. You take a look at between Lincoln and Washington. You have the longest, like 2,400 feet long. And from 1920 to '21, it really never worked. It always leaked. And it was a problem about things. And hundreds of millions was spent. And we got to work on it. And they were supposed to cost almost 400, think of it, 400 million dollars, because it's like putting the skin on a skyscraper. But bigger, much bigger, many skyscrapers, you could almost say, other than for the world. So I think of it, the world's tallest skyscraper is shorter than 2,400 feet. So we went to work. And over the years, I built hundreds of pools. I built them every time I built them. I always like to build the Olympic size swimming pools. And I was very aware of swimming pool, what goes into making a swimming pool. It's not as simple as people think. You never wanted to leak. You want a beautiful surface. I said, you know, I have an idea, Doug. We sat down. I said, let's take that long thing where we're going to fix it with concrete, which leaks, concrete, all sorts of other materials that all leak and don't look good. They're gray. And swimming pool, I have a swimming pool right up the road. I built it 22 years ago. It's perfect. I said, does it ever leak, though? It's good contractors. I actually called it a couple of the contractors, got some ideas from them. And I gave it to Doug and Doug's done an unbelievable job. And so they were going to spend maybe 400 million dollars. I don't know. You never know with cost overruns and everything. But it was going to take years to build three years, four years. And we'll have it done before July 4th substantially, before July 4th. If we didn't have such a bad weather the last four or five days, it could have been almost done. We have to-- you can't do this substance in the rain. And what they did is they cleaned it. They took out, as I said, more than 10 dumpsters of garbage. Shovels, it was disgusting. Well, every corner, every corner, had massive amounts of-- I guess that's the way the tide goes. But at massive amounts of garbage, we then steamed clean it. We then sandblasted it. And then we pebble blasted. That's a bigger version of sand. We made the surface as good as it can be. Now we're now covering it with the most beautiful blue. Very thick, you think of it as a very sophisticated form of rubber. No leaks, no problems. And it's beautiful. It's called American Flag Blue that was the color we chose.”

Holy cow! Trump's now saying that if UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar don't sign the Abraham Accords, he doesn't know if he would make a deal with Iran. "I think those countries owe it to us. I'm not sure we should make the deal [with Iran] if they don't sign. You wanna know the truth. If they don't sign to join the Abraham Accords." BTW, the UAE did sign the accords.

NEW: Trump unseated a third Republican he deemed insufficiently loyal last night. His 2028 revenge list could be even longer. One GOP senator pointed to colleagues who are up in 2028 and questioned if they would retire rather than face the prospect of a primary. Tillis told me he "could see" that happening but also that Trump is "not going to carry the same weight in the 2028 election cycle" If Cornyn's type of comments are the bar for what can drive Trump to back a primary challenger -- plenty of House and Senate Republicans who will be on the ballot have broken with Trump at some point, particularly when he was out of power politico.com/news/2026/05/2…

Day 27 What does Lou Gehrig Day mean to you? Awareness. Accomplishment. Admiration. Lou Gehrig Day became a reality in 2021 after three years of relentless work by a small committee I was incredibly honored to be part of. We were made up of people living with ALS or impacted by ALS who share a common love for baseball — all connected by this disease and united by one goal: to honor Lou Gehrig’s legacy across all of Major League Baseball while bringing desperately needed awareness to ALS. What started as a dream from my late friend Bryan “BWayne” Wayne became reality through the determination of so many, including my late friend Adam Wilson, who helped gain the support of all 30 MLB teams. Seeing something that once felt impossible become a nationally recognized day will always be one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of. Lou Gehrig was known as baseball’s Iron Horse because of his grit, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the game, playing in 2,130 consecutive games before voluntarily stepping away after his ALS diagnosis. But beyond baseball, he was remembered for something even greater — his humility, kindness, and character. Personally, I strive to live like Lou. That’s what makes this day so meaningful. It’s not just about baseball. It’s about humanity. It’s about honoring those we’ve lost, supporting those still fighting, and making sure people living with ALS are seen, heard, and never forgotten. Since its inception, Lou Gehrig Day has become one of my favorite days of the year. It’s a day I’ve been fortunate to share with my family, fellow ALS warriors, and my beloved Kansas City Royals, who have continuously wrapped me in support throughout my journey. In 2022, we celebrated Salvador Perez as the second Kansas City Royal to receive the prestigious Lou Gehrig Memorial Award. Tonight, we celebrate Bobby Witt Jr. as the third Royal to receive that honor. Both of these men are extraordinary players, but this award is about much more than talent on the field. It recognizes character, compassion, and the impact they make off the field. Bobby, Salvy, and George Brett have all stood beside me throughout my battle with ALS in ways I will never forget. Their kindness, support, and genuine care have meant more than words can truly capture. Days like today remind me why we keep fighting. Days like today make all the hard days worth it. So tonight, we celebrate baseball, we celebrate Lou’s legacy, and we celebrate every person impacted by ALS. Let’s have some fun.
