@DoerflerJared @GilmanMarty My truck was broken into & my entire set stolen. Found my bag listed on Craig’s List. Met up with the “seller” & bought it back in hope of getting my clubs. Found my training aid that I didn’t know was in there. Gave all info to police & they said “that’s what insurance is for…”

Crazy Story out of Hanna Golf HQ today. Get an email from a guy who has bought a couple of putters from us - he's in North Texas. Asks me to call him. So I give him a shout. He had some time to kill in between things. Ends up at a local golf retailer. Sees a Hanna putter on the rack. He picks it up and says, this thing is brand new. I can't believe how cheap it is. He buys it. Says it was an insult it was sitting there. (legendary comment). He notices initials milled on the bottom. He immediately thinks someone lost it or it was stolen. He gives me the model of putter and the initials. We find the buyer. I shot him a message. "Hey another one of our customers saw your putter at a store. If you didn't like it, you won't hurt my feelings, but I wanted to check in case it was stolen." He immediately responds. Yes, it was stolen Sunday night. My car was broken into, and we had several thousand dollars' worth of goods stolen. He is jacked up. "I bet my irons are at this store too." Now he will be able to hopefully use video footage from the store to find the person who stole everything. We don't even have a thousand putters in the wild. Not sure what the odds of this happening were, but it has to be high. What an insane move from the guy who found this putter to put everything all together and help solve this thing.

@Top100Rick If ur a member at a solid course, u can ask ur pro to call their pro to get on for a nominal fee. If a normal joe wants to get on a top course, expect to pay top dollar. This is the avenue for them. Normal golfers can’t expect to get on top courses without paying for it.

How much would you pay to play your bucket list golf course? One of the great beneficiaries of the golf boom has been charity. Golf charity auctions have gone insane! And all for good causes, so a great thing. These auctions used to be a way for normal golfers to play top private courses. But with the golf and stock market boom, they are now out of reach for most. Some get frustrated these go for so much. To those people: you are missing the point! The golf is a bonus. The point is to help out good causes. This is a great thing! Even if way, way out of my range lol. To the people buying these: Good for you. Money well spent. Youth on Course was the beneficiary and I am proud to have donated a threesome to the cause. If you are a member of a great club, consider donating a round next year!

I’m inexperienced with this grape. I’ll blame @ImpUndertaker for opening one tonight. Inky purple. Lots of blue/black fruits. Quite tannic but it’s young. Long finish. The fruit spent 22 months in 90% new French oak. Nice! 2021 Devil Proof Vineyards Malbec Farrow Ranch. Cheers!

Let’s talk first tee gifts! What are some of the best first tee gifts you’ve received? Every course we played in Scotland gave us some of the best first tee gifts we’ve ever received. Inside the emergency supplies that Crail gave us were sugar cookies and a Kingsbarns whiskey shot. Old course had a great ball mark and metal divot repair tool. Kingsbarns was a sick ball mark and their signature “wind” tees. Trump Aberdeen also gave a ball mark and a divot repair tool. In addition, every course provided a complimentary course guide regardless of if we had caddies or not (which we did). Pure class.

@Top100Rick Ya but MPCC has two courses next door that are better and less expensive, but it is private. I don’t love the inland holes at Pebble but that is my opinion. Cheers🏌️🥃🍷

The greatest meeting of land and sea. Thinking about 6 years ago. The place that triggered my golf course obsession. Pebble Beach. My first true bucket list course. Friends invited us to stay at a rental house on the 14th tee box and play Pebble. It was surreal. As someone who started golf as an adult and played muni golf, this was a dream come true. And it blew me away. Since that day I’ve played over 400 new courses around the world, I still think Pebble Beach is as awe inspiring and as beautiful as any. It’s been a few years. I need to get back. It will always be special.

3 days at Brambles, 100 holes walked. (28,36,36) Truly think there isn’t a course in the USA that plays more in style like UK links golf than here. The turf is just so firm. Old MacDonald, Sankaty Head, Shinnecock, NGLA are the others that come to mind. (Obviously Brambles isn’t a true links course because it’s not on the ocean, but the play style is this discussion.)

Shipped my clubs via @ShipSticks from @PebbleBeachGolf to my house in Austin. If anyone sees a @_ClubGlove w/Austin Golf Club logo on the outside, please shoot me a note. 10 days lost. They did send me a motor of some sort instead of my clubs. So I have that going for me…

@zinfandelhooks @Povlak The Mets had a larger payroll and missed the playoffs. I agree with David as you will I am sure when the Pirate trade Skenes to someone willing to pay him fair market value. Lastly, it is pretty easy to make an argument there is more parity in baseball than any other sport.

I’m not sure there has ever been a bigger game of Logo Bingo that at the Walker Cup. I’ve been to the Masters. Played golf all over. I have never seen so many prime logos. Here are the logos I can remember seeing, in order of most common to least: Cypress Point (obviously) MPCC Pebble Beach Tara Iti (crazy amount!) San Francisco Pine Valley Peachtree Olympic Club LACC Merion Chicago Friars Oakmont Fishers Seminole Prairie Dunes Brambles Bandon Riv Ohoopee ANGC (at least 3) Te Arai Lake Merced Sand Hills NGLA Shinny Boston Old Sandwich Sleepy Wade Tons of others (Editor’s note: The 4th pic is a Tara Iti shoe bag I won by beating my buddy in a match there. It’s possible I was just using that pic for a chance to brag about that.)
