President Magill knew well what she would answer in the hearing, having undergone detailed training by her attorneys. She knew it would also complicate matters later, and she would need to issue an apology. Because that’s how it is with the Jewish community, she will issue an apology and we'll all move on. You can say anything about the Jews. We'll not riot, we won't call for violence and we don’t have a mob that will wash the streets and vandalize property or will take down American flags. I'm proud to be part of a non violent, contributing minority, but this time, in light of the severity of the situation and the violence on campus, things need to change. In my personal opinion, Liz Magill should not remain the president of @Penn. #LizMustGo

Despite U.S. rep @RepStefanik giving them multiple opportunities to clarify and be unequivocal, they did not agree. They stated all that calling for the murder of Jews is a violation of the ethical code only under certain conditions that were not explicitly detailed. Anti-Semitic violence has spread across American universities. The leading higher education institutions that drive global innovation are in practice nothing more than nests of terror and hatred. I was looking forward to participating in and speaking at WebSummit. In light of these comments that show a complete lack of moral clarity, I have no choice but to cancel my participation. I know I am joining several other people in making this decision. I’m shocked at the rhetoric and actions of so many Western leaders & governments, with the exception in particular of Ireland’s government, who for once are doing the right thing. War crimes are war crimes even when committed by allies, and should be called out for what they are.

I'm sad to read this. Because I went to @WebSummit LLC for years, and I met @paddycosgrave a bunch of times. A week into the war, when mothers are seeing their babies burned alive by terrorists, when nearly 200 people are still kept hostage, away from their families, when Hamas which is worse than ISIS and Nazis combined because even Hitler didn't burn babies ... is just not a good time Paddy. I'll repeat, not a good time to be "right", and you're just wrong. This is not a good time go on stage and speak "equality", "listen to the other side", "freedom of speech". Not a good time. I'll send you all the light that I can, because I believe you made a mistake, and you have a huge stage of followers, and deep inside - I'm hopeful that you'll consider changing your ways so humanity gets to witness there is good in all of us. As for me, I'll never be part of your future initiatives and we'll never work together again. And the truth is that I don't matter as I'm only one Israeli guy, living in America, out of thousands who go to WebSummit. But - I'll feel better about myself and that matters too. Hamas is not ISIS, it is worse.
