@dlbeard @TheUfoJoe The idea that chirstians adopted secularism to protect themselves from other christians is not the flex you think it is. It is especially dumb when you try and say it only applies to christianity and not other religions.

So much for the separation of church and state. "If we do not see that God loves us, we have little reason and little inspiration to love one another." What a load of bs. Atheists and agnostics love others just as much as people who believe in God. Guess they don't need a reason.

@dlbeard @secularprolife It's a tautological definition based on a specious understanding of what life is and what a human being is. It's about as secular as the Pope's hat.

"Abortion doesn't kill humans. It just refuses to save them." Every form of abortion involves taking an action that causes a death. Cutting someone off from oxygen, poisoning them, and/or dismembering them are forms of active killing, not passively refusing to save.

The movie says “unavailable” even though she bought it Many people don’t know this but when you “buy” a movie or bundle on Prime Video, you’re not actually owning the film like a DVD or Bluray. You’re buying a non-transferable license to stream/download it as long as Amazon has the rights from the studio Licensing deals expire, get renegotiated, or the rights move to another streamer (HBO Max, Netflix, etc.). When that happens, even paid content can vanish from your library or show as “currently unavailable.” Amazon’s own terms of use state this in the fine print: “Purchased Digital Content will generally continue to be available… but may become unavailable due to potential content provider licensing restrictions or for other reasons, and Amazon will not be liable to you if Purchased Digital Content becomes unavailable.” If you’re going to buy a movie, don’t buy it on Amazon. Always buy the physical disk

@pebkac101 @WallStreetApes Yep. I’ve had discs go bad and ended up buying them on my AppleTV and they have always played as long as I had an internet connection and power. I can even download them and view later w/o an internet connection.

@WallStreetApes Physical media is great. I remember the time I bought a fish called Wanda on dvd and didn’t open it for a year or so. Opened the box and put it into the player and it wouldn’t play…brand new disk.

@WallStreetApes Apple iTunes/TV is different. You can actually download the movie just like the music. I’ve NEVER lost access to a movie bought in my AppleTV.

@Monomorphic @TheUfoJoe Morality had its base in Christianity. The founding fathers did not want an atheist or secular nation or government. They simply didn’t want the government being able to put restrictions on expression of those religious principles and morality.

@TheUfoJoe @Sim2Mike The founding fathers felt that the moral teachings of Jesus were guiding and important to the society they wanted to create. They also wanted to allow other religions the freedom to contribute. Atheists were scorned in the 18th century.

Hollywood should stop adapting classic stories if they lack respect for the source material and can’t be faithful to the lore. Nobody wants Woke Odyssey. Nobody wants Woke Harry Potter. Nobody wants Woke Lord of the Rings. What people want is for stories to be respected. If that’s too much to ask for, leave things alone to age gracefully.

As a result, it looks like the district will have a chance to elect a black woman instead of the Democrats’ old white man that has been controlling them for years.

They are sick of the looting for BLM. Most blacks are killed by fellow blacks. Many have become dependent on government handouts and do poorly in school.

I was around when I saw the KKK walked down my streets instead of breaking the cycle of racism and hate white people continue to pass it on from generations to generations you wanna call everybody else savages when you’re the savage.
