All True, Brendan please consider allowing CAFII winners to use Starlink for CAF II 25x3 locations that are in extremely remote areas. Subsidizing them with Starlink radios that instead of building wireless towers to serve only 5-10 locations is a way more efficient use of the governments money.

Under President Biden, the FCC revoked an $885 million award that Starlink won to provide high-speed Internet to millions of Americans. Back then, the agency claimed that it was revoking the award because it was unlikely that Starlink could provide 100/20 Mbps service to 40% of locations by year end 2025. I dissented at the time, explaining that the FCC's decision could not be squared with any objective application of law, facts, or policy. The data clearly showed that Starlink was on track. Now, new Ookla data shows that well over that percentage of Speedtest user on Starlink did meet the 100/20 service level by year end 2025. The Biden era decision to revoke the award only slowed down efforts to bridge the digital divide and raised costs for doing so. ookla.com/articles/starl…

The two biggest things people ask me about my Tesla are: 1) Do you have problems charging it? 2) What do you do when you have to take long trips? I need you to understand this. I travel a lot by car. Long distances north/south/east/west through rural parts of every state, 500+ mile trips often. Teslas are WAY BETTER than any other car for road trips. Way better than any gas car, way better than any other EV. It is far EASIER, not harder, to road trip in a Tesla. You don’t have to look for charging. This is all done by software. You don’t have to plan stops. This is all done by software. You don’t have to drive or navigate. This is all done by software. You get into a Tesla, type or speak any destination anywhere, press “start self driving” on the screen, and that’s it. You’re done. The rest is all handled by software. You just have to sit there and enjoy the view. Zero stress, zero deciding which rest stop to stop at when you think your tanks gonna be low, zero worry about wrong turns, zero attention required to nav. Just kick back and take it in. It makes a 8 hour road trip feel like 2 hours, and you feel completely refreshed upon arrival, like you were sitting on your couch relaxing. No neck tension, no brain fatigue from keeping a car from crashing for 8 hours. It’s way better than any other vehicle for travel, not the opposite. I’m on a 600 mile work trip right now, and if someone told me I had to give up my Tesla and start traveling by ICE car again, I’d prob look for a new job. Seriously. It is way way better for travel.

For the record. Critics who argue that President Trump misjudged Iran or acted impulsively fail to grasp the strategic coherence underpinning recent U.S. operations. Many of these same commentators, until hours ago, could not have pointed to Kharg Island on a map, yet it is the core through which the Iranian regime’s economy breathes. Nearly 90% of Tehran’s crude exports run through Kharg, a terminal capable of handling roughly seven million barrels a day. Disrupting or seizing control of this node strikes at the regime’s primary revenue artery without requiring a ground war or full-scale confrontation. The precision of the U.S. campaign underscores this logic. American strikes have degraded Iran’s military infrastructure while sparing oil export sites, signalling a strategy not of regime change but of coercive stabilization. The objective is clear: reopen the Strait of Hormuz, restore safe Gulf exports, and pressure Iran toward internal reform rather than external collapse. Securing transit routes and establishing U.S.-supervised flows from Iranian facilities like Kharg would not only stabilize global supply but also weaken China’s energy leverage across Eurasia. In that sense, what critics call “reckless escalation” may instead be a calculated rebalancing of power using economic geography, not ideology, as the primary instrument of statecraft. The question is not whether Washington has a plan, but whether its detractors have the strategic literacy to recognize one.

What just happened to Iran's Kharg Island? President Trump just said the US has carried out the "most powerful bombing raids in Middle East history" on Kharg island. This is a MAJOR escalation for oil markets. Here's why: Kharg Island has been described as the "crown jewel" of Iran's oil industry. It is a vital, tiny island in the northern Persian Gulf that manages ~90% of Iran's crude oil exports. Kharg Island alone handles ~2% of global oil supply. In the lead up to the war, Iran was exporting as much as 3 MILLION barrels of oil per day from Kharg Island. Trump said that the US military has "chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island" for now. However, President Trump also said he will reconsider this decision should Iran "do anything to interfere with the free and safe passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz," which Iran is clearly doing right now. In other words, President Trump appears to be paving the path for the destruction of oil infrastructure on one of the world's most crucial oil ports and islands. It's no coincidence this came just 2 hours after markets closed for the weekend. Buckle up for a busy weekend ahead.

They are great, got a model x for the wife, it drove us home without an intervention (2.5 hour drive over 2 mountain passes) and by the time we got home I decided to replace my car too. Tesla had it ready for me the next day. Hard to explain how great the car and fsd is. Just sit in the drivers seat for 30 minutes while it takes you somewhere and you’ll see and feel the future of car and ai technologies. It was a revelation for me and I bet for you too.

Doug DeMuro ranked the @Tesla Model S as the #1 most important car of the last 30 years in his new video. Doug: "The Model S really changed the world. It made you think that EVs could be cool, fast, luxurious. It really reset any public opinion about EVs, that you didn't have to make major compromises; They (Tesla) created a cultural icon. If you created a list of the top 10 all-time cars that changed the world, Model S is in the top 5."

Jeffrey Skoll@jeffskoll

I wanted to say a few words about @Tesla and @elonmusk regarding their decision, announced during yesterday's earnings call, to end the production of the Model S and X in Q2 this year. From the start, I have been a giant fan, investor and supporter of Tesla. I was the happy purchaser of the 2008 Roadster and 2012 Model S, both VIN #003. I continue to hold them in pristine condition until one day they go into either the (hopeful!) Tesla Museum or another tech or automotive museum. I still drive my 2010 Roadster and I have owned a number of Model S's and Model X's over the years. As I once told Elon, the Model S (Motortrend's Car of the Year for 2012) goes alongside the PC, Mac, iPad and iPhone as the greatest consumer tech products ever created, in my opinion. I recently upgraded my personal, older Tesla's with 2026 Model S's (Plaid and Long Range) and a 2026 Model X Plaid. They are all the best cars I have ever owned. I did this even knowing that the writing was on the wall that they would be discontinued as the sales numbers were a rounding error compared to the Model 3 and Y. I did buy a 2026 Model Y as well when it came out...it is an excellent car and at the price, a very good value. Over the years, I also subsidized employees across my various organizations with a $7500 credit towards the purchase of a Tesla...and that was on top of the Federal EV credits when they existed. I am proud to have introduced 100s of people to owning Tesla vehicles, especially in the early days when the sales mattered. While I will miss future versions of the S and X, I have no doubt that Tesla will continue to make great cars and the FSD is now amazing, so I have little doubt that whatever package the FSD is wrapped inside, it will be a great experience. Elon always said that Tesla was intended to be more than a car company and today it is already a major player in renewable energy, manufacturing, software and well on its way to being a winner in robotics and whatever future areas of tech hold the most promise. So farewell to the Model S and X, with gratitude for the many years of enjoyment and hello to the future!

We’re almost a year into Trump’s term and Leftist judges have issued a record number of national injunctions. This is a historic abuse of power. And you know how many have been impeached? Zero. The GOP needs to stop protecting Epstein’s Democrat friends from censure votes and start impeaching rogue judges.
