Our students are living through an occupation. Federal agents are terrorizing Chicago neighborhoods and schools. This is not “law enforcement.” It’s state-sanctioned violence. The U.S. government just handed ICE and DHS $170 billion—more than the military budgets of entire countries—to wage war on Black and brown communities. This is what misplaced priorities look like: billions for brutality while our schools, health care, and neighborhoods go underfunded. We refuse to stand by while our students and their families are kidnapped, detained, and traumatized. We demand safety, dignity, and freedom for every family.
