Tennessee: didn’t beat a single team that finished with a winning record, lost bowl to B1G team.
Missouri: didn’t beat a single team that finished with a winning record, lost bowl to ACC team.
LSU: literally 7-6, got embarrassed in their own stadium by Texas A&M, lost bowl to Big 12 team.
Alabama: Lost by 14 to 5-7 FSU, squeaked past 4-8 South Carolina, squeaked past 5-7 Auburn, lost by 21 and put up -3 rushing yards in the SECCG, lost CFP game by 35.

Don’t want to paint either league with a broad brush, which happens a ton on both sides of this debate, but Oklahoma had to beat Tennessee and Alabama on the road and Missouri and LSU at home last November to get into the playoff. Sooners also played Michigan at home in Week 2.

Months later and SEC coaches and fans have figured out that an extra conference game means an extra loss for half the league. They will 100% be trying to get ahead of that during Media Days.
On the flip side, he’s right about the Big 10. If they don’t force a P4 non-con game then they deserve to be punished for it.
